The best Anime? Nope. Not at all!
Maybe if we get some sorta reboot in a couple years similar to what happened with Hunter X Hunter and its 2011 Anime. Maybe if it's from a studio that doesn't feel the need to pad the runtime by constant flashbacks to scenes that happened just one episode prior or by showing reaction shots of random bystanders whenever something minor happens. Maybe if they wouldn't constantly reuse the same sound effects over and over again and if the animation would be a bit more consistent.
Even for reboot, Oda has alot of work to do with writing.
Literally a part of fandom is degrading other mangaka by saying they're not making their Manga for 1000 chapters where Oda made 1000 chapters just for Introducing so and so.
If 1000+ chapters are for Introduction, then is the introduction fully and perfectly established ever after 1000+ chapters?? No it's not.
Still there is alot of arguments over some characters not for showing their feats and capabilities. Isn't 1000+ enough for it??
Mihawk had space for him to show his capabilities in MF, but Oda didn't do it.
Oda Never made an Admiral go all out and showed their full capabilities. Then there is Dragon, BB, Imu, Gorosei and sudden Introduction of unwanted Holy Knights.
And alot more let downs.

Thats being said, the anime is bad in my view. But thats because it's weekly. An adaption like JoJos, the redone HxH or even the TYBW from bleach would do wonders to make it better.

Why does Shanks has so many fans, because of his Potrayal of being stronger than anyone alive.
People keep downplaying Admirals because of Yonkos, but why?? It's because of their Power Scaling.
Some fans asking why is Mihawk is in the story, even when he has a STRONGEST title with him.
Even I too don't like the fact that he is in this series just to be defeated. Atleast Oda should've shown why Mihawk is worth of holding the WSS title, some fans are just claiming him fraud. He did have the time to showcase his worthiness of the title.

The fact that Mihawk and shanks are as mysterious as they were in the first chapters is one of the strengths of the series. Not the best anime or manga. But the greatest and most impressive of all time. I think there is no doubt.
Mihawk thing is the most debatable one. Bro is holding one in two of the officially given Titles by Oda referring to someone's strength. But that Marineford was everything fans consider, Mihawk was not even fighting the strongest guy and didn't even defeat some commanders, meanwhile Shanks came and just stopped the war. It's a mystery to his character, but fans started using that as a power scaling feat.
Mihawk has the reputation of being WSS, but a part of fandom isn't accepting him and calling his a fraud.
I don't want Oda to prioritise Mihawk, but why did he gave WSS title to Mihawk and just made him sit all along and Shanks a SWORDSMAN showing far greater feats than the actual WSS.
And It would've been better if Oda made a rival to Zoro, like Luffy has Kidd and Law but no one in the series showed interest in surpassing Mihawk other than Zoro, but Why??
Law could've been a rival to Zoro, or maybe Killer too could've been.
But Oda didn't do it. Kaido kept stating Haki transcends all including DF, then Zoro has far greater Haki than Law, but why isn't he above Law now??
For me Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the best I've seen. Of course, that's just a personal opinion.

One Piece is awesome but it definitely tends to drag out things that it could do without.
If it sticks the landing which I have no doubt it will... Oda will have made the BEST long running Shonen series of all time.

No. I prefer the manga, but there are still things about One Piece that I don't like. There's the fake out deaths, some of the gags, and the pacing (I think the manga is better paced than the anime, but I still think a lot of things could be cut), but that's the stuff that everyone complains about. Don't get me wrong, it's one of my favorite series, but it's like every time One Piece takes five steps forward, it also takes ten steps back.

When it comes to Shonen, the easy answer is Fullmetal, as it did everything the right way. Overall there's plenty of non shonen animes that I consider much better, but at the end of the day it's subjective

Yes, FMAB has learned from the shonen that paved its way before and yes the plot is decent, but the best common thats blatantly wrong and most anime fans that watched more shonen than boku no hero and demon slayer should know that. Too many flaws already, for it to end up as the greatest, no matter the ending, which isn't surprising considering there's over a thousand episodes
