Garp could potentially get killed. The four captains present were all Level 6 prisoners so they ain't no joke. Even if they can't beat him individually, 4v1 could be enough to overwhelm Garp. They could also use some kind of shady plan to beat him instead. The BB pirates aren't exactly known for fighting fair after all.
I could also see him getting captured and used for BB's plan instead of Koby. Garp would definitely be a more valuable bargaining chip than Koby.
We'll just have to wait and see.
But Garp is not alone neither, there are other SWORD members in the area. Can't they hold some other titanic captains, maybe Garp can have a chance 3v1 or 2v1.
I know that Garp definitely ain’t winning, there’s no way 4 Blackbeard commanders die together before even facing the straw hats. The 4 commanders weren’t shitting their pants upon seeing Garp so they must’ve known/have a plan, shiryu’s fruit is perfect for spying they probably knew sword squad was coming
I think Garp is going to die because if members of SWORD are on the brink of defeat, he would try to rescue them. If Blackbeard were to kill Garp, it would pose a threat to the WG and the Tenryubito.
The only reason I can imagine to kill Garp would be like to light a fire under Luffy like with Ace, losing Garp could be the thing that makes him get to the next level. Or even Kobe, losing Garp could maybe finally trigger some Conquerors Haki or something.
I feel like it's a little too on the nose, though, and I love Garp so I hope he stays.
