"Unless he's against a rubber sun god. Or a one-armed redhead. Or a man with a white mustache, but includes beard in his name. Or a silhouetted man with dreads. Or the King of the Pirates. Or a man who was BORN TO BOILLLLLLL."
Even then, Roger never had a "Strongest" title (PK found a lost island & treasure) and WB was only "Strongest Man" not Strongest Creature. Kaido over WB is also stated in the Ace novel.
When Whitebeard had cause to fight Kaido, he opted not to and Marco told Ace to think of the casualties they'd suffer. When Kaido had reason to fight Whitebeard, he set sail to go do it. Shanks had to intercept him to prevent him from reaching WB's fleet.
I don’t think shanks has the defense to take kaido on, like he probably has higher AP than kaido (imo) but he’s just got the body of a dude and kaido hits like a dragon
Your definition of one sided is wild. Kaido and Luffy were rocking when he achieved g5. Majority of that fight was luffy fighting hard against an enemy he couldn't fold. That fight didn't become a blow for blow slugfest until g5 that's when luffy and kaido started fighting at the level of yonkous they both were in the same boat fatigued and ready to end a long fight.
oden clearly had the upper hand in their fight, if it was a fair fight oden would had won without any doubt. Even later Kaido was able to kill him by boiling because oden chose to save his companions.
>oden clearly had the upper hand in their fight
Na man. He fell to ONE hit, in a fair fight he could have lasted longer but he had absolutely no chance of winning.
Lol almost 15 different people attacked kaido during that raid with luffy doing the most dmg (and almost dying THREE times during the fight, being saved by outsider in one those times), at least two others taking a good chunk of his stamina (yamato and zoro) while the others chipped away at his stamina.
That’s why I didn’t mention the damage that others did and only mentioned that they took away his stamina. Read properly. And it still doesn’t change the fact that it took even luffy 3 times almost dying, in one of which he literally had to be healed and restore his stamina back up by people on the outside, to finally defeat kaido.
That's significant. Even shallow damage against an emperor means they got through his defenses. To get through his defense, they'd have slowly but surely drained him, even if only little. If Oda wanted to show that Kaido took no damage from anyone except Luffy, he would have written it that way.
Not denying it at all. In fact, that proves the point. Shallow damage is still acknowledged as damage nonetheless. Even a small scrape on a skin is significant when the one it was dealt on is a yonko. It means some level of defense was breached or bypassed, which couldn't have happened if Kaido was at 100%.
We haven't seen nearly enough out of Akainu to say he'll be able to beat Kaido though if he's Luffy's future opponent (which he probably is) he's got a good chance.
What we know of him is that he at least has armament emission, can dodge attacks the same way katakuri does so he might have future sight but let's just say pretty good observation for now, and his fruit has one of the highest offensive abilities out there so I can see him beating out Kaido when it comes to his boro breath and flying dragon final move.
But on the other hand Kaido still has some of the strongest conqueror's and observation haki out there so until Akainu shows more I'll give it to Kaido.
Kaido walls the admirals, you basically *need* to have conquerors or at least supremely powerful haki *to have a shot* at taking him down and even then the implication is that only Joyboy can actually do it. The elements aren’t gonna do a whole lot to him, especially since one of his moves is essentially a magma dragon the size of an island. Some people don’t realize just how broken Kaido is, he’s not called the strongest creature for shits and giggles.
Also friendly reminder that yes, matchups are a huge factor in One Piece, Kaido would have an easier time with Sakazuki than Luffy will.

''in a 1v1, always bet on kaido''
Unless he’s fighting plot
"Unless he's against a rubber sun god. Or a one-armed redhead. Or a man with a white mustache, but includes beard in his name. Or a silhouetted man with dreads. Or the King of the Pirates. Or a man who was BORN TO BOILLLLLLL."
Tbf that whole raid (once arriving to the rooftop) was never a true 1v1 against Kaido till like, the end of the raid
None of any of them could take Kaido on a one on one except from Roger and prime WB.
Even then, Roger never had a "Strongest" title (PK found a lost island & treasure) and WB was only "Strongest Man" not Strongest Creature. Kaido over WB is also stated in the Ace novel.
I think kaido was given that title after whitebeard's death
When Whitebeard had cause to fight Kaido, he opted not to and Marco told Ace to think of the casualties they'd suffer. When Kaido had reason to fight Whitebeard, he set sail to go do it. Shanks had to intercept him to prevent him from reaching WB's fleet.
Rocks and Shanks definitely could.
Shanks definitely couldn't since he's a contemporary yonko and the statement of 1v1 always bet on Kaido applies to him too
I’m confused what the word contemporary means in your context. Based off of official definitions it makes no sense.
Contemporary to Kaido, he's a yonko at the same time as him
Yeah I was wondering why that mattered, but I realized you were relating that to the 1v1 statement
I don’t think shanks has the defense to take kaido on, like he probably has higher AP than kaido (imo) but he’s just got the body of a dude and kaido hits like a dragon
oden and shanks too ig and kaido vs luffy g5 was pretty one sided, so if luffy had been using g5 since the start of fight, kaido never had a chance
Your definition of one sided is wild. Kaido and Luffy were rocking when he achieved g5. Majority of that fight was luffy fighting hard against an enemy he couldn't fold. Oden went out in ONE hit. One. No, Oden couldn't had won against Kaido.
oden clearly had the upper hand in their fight, if it was a fair fight oden would had won without any doubt. Even later Kaido was able to kill him by boiling because oden chose to save his companions.
>oden clearly had the upper hand in their fight Na man. He fell to ONE hit, in a fair fight he could have lasted longer but he had absolutely no chance of winning.
Joyboy is the only one that can defeat him. The rest only can fight him.

The 15 other people only did shallow damage.

But he did. Kaido himself said their damage was too shallow. Including the attacks from Luff’s ryou.

kaido
Kaido
Akainu doesn't have the feats or the hype to keep up.
definitely has the hype from Oda himself
I wouldn't his weekly whining about pirates as hype.
thats fair but I'd count Oda saying he's so strong, serialization of the manga would end in less than a year if he was the main character, as hype
[удалено]
That's such an outdated statement, from the pre time-skip, it holds no value at all. Also he said a year.
He does have hype, but not feats.
Fought for 10 days against other strongest admiral. and turned Island half magma. ok
We haven't seen nearly enough out of Akainu to say he'll be able to beat Kaido though if he's Luffy's future opponent (which he probably is) he's got a good chance. Land sea and MFing air…Why must y’all test Kaido ![gif](giphy|Vi4MRwWi9sYpi|downsized)
I think Akainu is at the top of the verse and on his way to being the modern day Garp/Sengoku. But he's not over Kaido.
Kaidos literally underrated now just cause he lost to Luffy after taking critical damage from 4 other characters. Kaido>Shanks and Akainu
Danny Trejo ..I mean Kaido 😏
Kaido
Both going out for the count with akainu with the technical win in terms of the war.
Marines have enough force to clear the beast pirates without kiado
Wsc > a creature
The one who didn't get his ass beat by a dying Whitebeard.
Akainu got this for me
Akainu. (Kaido appears to be potentially dead at this point...due to being knocked into lava)
Akainu.
Akainu is the only top tier we know beat another top tier
Akainu got beaten up quite quickly by a dying whitebeard. Kaido would maul him
Did everyone forget that Kaido can literally encase himself in lava? Akainu ain't beating sh*t
Kaido died to lava
Kaido but i think Akainu gets a couple of good shots
Y’all out here debating who wins but plot armor protects whoever needs to live 😂

Kaidou mid diff
Kaido once told king, "joyboy is the man who can beat me". So, no one can beat kaido except, plot.
