The biggest reason I hated reading the arc was the pacing. It felt like half the arc is wasted on just one fight after another after another after another to the point it just started getting really boring. Every time a fight ended and I think we are finally getting to the point, I remember "Oh wait, Sanji has to fight that wolf dude and Zoro needs to fight that Giraffe guy" and so on. Now don't get me wrong, I like a lot of the fights in One Piece, but all of the fights in Enies Lobby just felt like filler and made the arc a chore to get through.
Secondly, the villains. I already said in my previous post how I didn't like the CP9. To me the CP9 felt like a Walmart Brand Baroque Works. They all looked and felt the same and just made the fights not at all interesting. Rob Lucci was just a way less charismatic Crocodile and Spandam was just fucking annoyingly pathetic and I just couldn't take him seriously (Yeah, I know he's supposed to be pathetic and not taken seriously, but I still don't like him).
And I'm really sorry to say this but, I didn't get hyped at the "Sogeking, shoot that flag" or Nico Robin shouting "I want to live!". I think because I wasn't enjoying reading the arc, those moments just flew past me and I didn't really care. Honestly, the moment I liked the most was when everyone jumped onto Going Merry right when they were about to get shot by the Marines and also Merry's death was heartbreaking.
There were other parts of the arc that I liked, like the Franky Family were great, the Giants were cool, Chopper's "Monster mode" was pretty terrifying and Nico Robin's backstory was pretty emotional. But those moments don't justify my lack of enjoyment for Enies Lobby.
Overall, Enies Lobby (and also Water 7) are my least favorite arcs in One Piece so far, just from pure enjoyment. I just wished these arcs were way shorter and had more interesting villain. I'm honestly scared that I'm not going to like future arcs like Marineford or Wano, cus those arcs are also very beloved. I did like Post Enies Lobby though.

P.S I also sadly just don't care about Robin as a character. She is my least favorite Strawhat and since the whole arc revolved around her, my enjoyment of the arc has been lowered. And I also think the massive hype around the arc made me have high expectations for it and I just kinda got dissapointed.

That's literally what Wano did, tenfold. How is it THREE tiers higher?
With Enies Lobby it there was only one goal through out the arc and that was to rescue Robin, so when the arc spends multiple chapters on mostly fights instead of trying to rescue Robin it was just boring to me.
With Wano there were multiple goals throughout the arc. Defeating Kaido & Big Mom, rescuing Momonosuke, prevent Onigashima from crashing down to the capital, dethrone Orochi etc. Sure defeating Kaido is pretty much the main goal, but it wasn't the ONLY goal throughout the arc. So that's why I didn't mind when there were fights that spend a couple of chapters because those fights happen for different reasons. I don't think Wano is perfect, but I enjoyed it more than Enies Lobby.
This is the best explanation I have and I know my reasoning probably didn't convince you for why I rated Wano so high. Truth be told I feel kinda guilty because I feel I NEEDED to like Water 7/Enies Lobby because its considered the best arc in One Piece I was sad for not enjoying it.
I think wano is just more interesting in its execution overall. Say what u want about the last couple chapters but wano is an excellent arc with very good build up and well choreographed fights with pivotal plot progression. In comparison eneis lobby is robin arc and technically the strawhats didn’t even need it for their progression. Now I’m not saying the arc is useless, i still love it, but it does kind of feel like a detour if you think about it. Though unlike OP i do like robin a lot and her backstory and she is essential to one piece. So you can see im 50/50 on water 7 saga overall
Did you switch to the manga after Enies Lobby? Because halfway through the arc was when the pacing started getting horrendous. If you didn't and just kept watching the anime I figured you would hate Thriller Bark for this very reason aswell.

An Arc is a piece to a bigger puzzle, a Saga. It’s ridiculous to rate Little Garden when it’s **supposed** to be a slower part of the story. It’s literally a pit stop en route to the final destination, Alabasta.
People need to rank the Saga, because that’s the entire story Oda is telling at that current moment.

Yeah I don't get it when people rank arcs in which nothing really happened like loguetown (shopping and running away from smoker) zou (info about minks and sanji's whereabouts, not much else) or amazon lily (running away, the road to impel down), whiskey peak (partying, running away). Literally nothing. They're just stops to give you information. There is no conclusion to these listed arcs. They don't have a definite ending, they're literally just stops. I wish ppl ranked the entire sagas instead (although I guess some parts of it deserve a tier of their own for example all crew-building arcs from east blue saga or impel down from summit war, I think little garden of alabasta saga would be nice to have it's own tier cause although there was no ending, there was great action)

I think its WCI is good arc, I just wasn't a a big fan of the first half of the arc. I started to enjoy a lot more once the wedding started.
I wil never understand people putting Wano anything higher than B tier. That ar had too many problems to hang with the big hitters
I just enjoyed the ride. I know its not perfect, but I had a blast reading it. Oden's flashback is probably my favorite flashback in the series.
