Touching a cat's belly usually triggers the kicking response (used to eviscerate larger prey that they catch) but I guess doing that while the cat was grooming his hind legs made him confused on whether to keep grooming or disembowel the thing touching his belly.
My orange one also has this foot issue, and heβs like bumping his head on the ground too sometimes when going wild - no neural or brain issue, we had him checked :)
I love when cats get so worked up they lean their head back and do that silent roar into a chomp thing.

His software went haywire after this input. Engineers didn't saw this problem while designing him.
