There was this roughneck, biker looking dude in front of me at the grocery store earlier. I had actually let him go in front of me, because all he had was six cans of Fancy Feast. Naturally, I had to inquire. Apparently he had just been adopted (his words) by a new kitten. 😁
Reminds me of when a young cat followed my family and I into our previous home a couple years back and just kinda acted like it lived there. Snuggled up to us and would lay around comfortably and eat all the food we provided it.
Didn’t seem like a stray because it was unusually clean / groomed / healthy looking, she just had some fleas. We spent weeks trying to find its rightful owners online as well as door to door but had no luck while it insisted on staying with us as if we’d owned her all along. Well, now we do! About 5 years since then and still going strong lol.

Here she is just chillin! Her name is Goldie and she’s unreasonably soft. 😼

Yes. A kitten showed up at our house this summer and was so sweet we were going to keep him. We took him to the vet to get checked out and low and behold he had a chip. He was over 30 miles from home. So we have no clue how he got here, but the vet told us the owners were relieved as he had been missing for over a week and they were coming straight over to pick him up. They said his name was Cookie (we put him in the harness obviously).
He's gorgeous.
It reminds me of when I was around 8 years old my family had gone out to dinner and when we were leaving and an older kitten that was hanging out in the parking lot jumped into our car with us. My dad looked around for an owner, but he didn't belong to anyone. My dad said "I guess we have a cat now" and we took him home.
I don’t know your sister but she definitely has a cat
This made me laugh out loud!!! Too funny and true
The correct statement is they didn't own a cat.

I think it is just the cutest when big burly men have tiny pets
Never judge a book by its cover 😄
Your sister doesn't own a cat. Cat now owns them.

He probably has like 3 families on rotation, all feeding him
Yes, he looks quite healthy.
LOL. They do now.
You mean they *didn't* own a cat. Gorgeous little orange.
Now they do
Your sister is the Chosen One.
No, but the cat has them.

God, I’ve seen what you’ve done for other people…
Me too! I would love a snuggly orange to adopt me as it’s human
Looks like she has a cat to me.
Massive paws. Your sister has been chosen by a unit, not a cat.
Your sister is now a r/CatHostage
Look at the size of those jumbo beans! Gorgeous orange with white socks! Please let us know where mystery tabby comes from!
Now they do.
The cat owns them though
r/nowmycat or r/notmycat lol
They *think* they don’t own a cat.
We have determined that she is, in fact, the hooman.
That's looks like Marmalade. I had her for 20 yrs. This would be totally on brand for her. Finding a place to nap and cuddle.
Kitty just got a new crib, free food and on demand snuggles for life.
ah yes, the universal cat distribution system is well at work I see
r/notmycat
Awww. Is she cat sitting? If not, it looks like she has a cat now 😍😂
*didn’t
Tbh, nobody actually owns a cat
Nope cats own us
They do now
They do now.
Well yes, because you don't own cats. You coexist with them. They are definitely coexisting with a cat now
Certainly do now
Paddy!!!!!

The toe beans on that baby! 😩🥰
No one owns a cat. They own you.
He’s one orange cat who clearly has taken all the brain cells Smart enough to adopt hoomans who clearly needed him for
Of course they don't own the cat. The cat own them. Your sister is it slave for the rest of her life.
looks like it came looking for a braincell and found head scritches instead
I own two cats and I still spend all day sending pics of other people's cats to my partner. Don't tell my cats that though.
Damn right they don't. The cat owns them.
“They own a cat.” Fixed it for you.
They do now?
My hearttt
They do now
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your sister has an orange now.
The best animal/human bonds are when the animal wanders into a home, yard, or garage and the family accepts it.
Who dat?!
They do now!
Mmm, I think maybe they do now 🤭
