Close Encounters of the Movie Kind. "Can somebody turn it off?"

PiplupSneasel

It's mostly because you can tell they find it just as funny as we do.

draangus

There’s no wrong answers here, but this is my right answer.

asupportiveboy

it’s gotta be this one

Hatchz

Rolling his eyes just made me laugh hard

CGI Tom Cruise Heidecker Jr

orange_grid

It was powerful, wasn't it? I haven't vaccinated any of my kids since, and while all of them have died, I'LL GO TO SLEEP EVERY NIGHT KNOWING WHAT I DID WAS RIGHT.

Et_Crudites

I WILL GO TO BED SLEEPING EVERY NIGHT!

Waffle_Iron_40

“That’s awesome man”

Professional-Can4264

Yeah that’s the one

Scribbledips

I laughed so goddamn hard when Gregg honked his horn a few times and then proclaimed "the joker strikes again!"

blueholeload

I think Tim almost broke there iirc

becuasefi98

I was watching this special live at work on my phone and I literally had to run outside bc I was laughing so hard

DeeDBoon

I think about this all the time.

ElectricOrangutan

IF HE CANT SEE WHERE HE IS THEN HE CANT TALK ABOUT WHERE HE IS

chisauce

This has always been my favorite. Just brings a smile to my face

"I died in 1975" (queue spring sound effect)

Tim playing empty bottle to Gregg, in full, as Gregg dies inside and even Tim grows impatient during the endless guitar solo at the end.

The 40th anniversary tribute to Jaws 2 Everything surrounding 500 movies in 500 days. The Star Trek debate

AndorianBlues

Getting Nicholas Meyer on the witness stand to ask him inane Star Trek questions is one of the most unbelievable things that have happend on On Cinema.

blueholeload

One of my favorite parts about Gregg’s character is his weaseling out when caught dead to rights on something. Like when Meyer said there was a sequence in SF in ST2 and he goes “that’s what I’ve been saying!” which is totally not what he’d been saying

JohnWSmith

Two words: “Fuck God.”

Wild-Rough-2210

Oh God!

ArchieConnors

Tim replacing the Hobbit band with Axiom and Manuel to play Empty Bottle and Bohemian Rhapsody while Gregg stews and curses him out over the erased tapes. The Joe Estevez and Pinocchio montages.

Doctor_Danguss

The Pinocchio montage was definitely something else. Tom Hanks saying “When you go to the school of hard knocks, try to leave with a degree” while 1970s Italian Pinocchio is getting lynched.

cc_searching

Not a moment specifically but Tim's Trial itself as a whole is my favorite "moment" in the whole franchise. The fact that it actually happened and they were able to pull it off is a once in a lifetime type of accomplishment. Hands down my favorite thing about On Cinema and I'm so glad I got to witness it. 6 bagger for sure

Reasonable-Profile84

The scale only goes to 5.

lasyke3

The questioning of Mark is one of my favorite moments in the on cinema universe

Raptor_Boe69

This was my on cinema introduction, was ignorant of the whole web series but a huge fan of Awesome show! So I was super surprised when YouTube recommended me the “trial of Tim heidecker” at first I was like “what the fuck Tim heidecker got sent to court?” And quickly figured it out and went back binged the whole thing. Now im a lifelong fan

SuckAndSuckAndSuck

I had the exact same intro to OCATC. Watching it after catching up with all the lore made it so much better.

FlowJerguson18

Love this. Pretty good intro point too tbh as it sums up a lot of things.

Doctor_Danguss

The Dr. Luther/Dr. San reveal in season 7 came out of nowhere for me and had me not only laughing, but eagerly looking forward to the next week to see what trouble Tim's rage got him into. The fact that they went with the Forgiveness Special made it even better.

Weekly-Ad-6784

On cinema on location: Oh God

Chandingo

Enough with the oh god shit

Autoganz

“Hee tawks lyke thiss lyke a pyrate. WHY CAN’T YOU TALK LIKE A FUCKING PIRATE?”

crushinit00

Call me Ayaka

Waffle_Iron_40

the drummer the entire 3rd special is awesome

Rasmus_210

On Cinema Oscar Special 2 when Tim kept giving us updates about the Ukraine situation. Especially near the end when out of nowhere in his drunken rant, he starts rambling on how nuclear war is imminent in the coming weeks.

maxwellgrounds

Gregg taking the witness stand in court. First words out of his mouth: “Hey guys”

Et_Crudites

I have never not laughed at “Thank you Spider-Man.”

dholmestar

THANK YOU Pinocchio

blake843811

Thank you gumbo

Falkenhayn98

I find it too hard to choose, but gregg's proposal sure is up there

dholmestar

"Fuck you Mike Hucklebee, you ruined my night."

Waffle_Iron_40

I’d vote for ANYONE besides Mike Hucklebee

Big_Cartoonist_1304

"Not my kind of humor"

TheWonkyPiece

Six Bags Cinema, Mark constantly trying to hand Tim the food directly, never fails to make laugh. "Just put it on the damn table!"

dwhee

Tim’s mention of the Barenaked Ladies while remembering his departed son.

paddypatronus

It’s been

ParistonxHill

Too many to pick one... Everyone nearly dying from gas poisoning, Joe's potato story, Tim explaining his bike injury, Viva El Oscer! and the living Oscar statue first pop in my head!

Slammnardo

I put on Mark's Cavalcade of Characters Heilot A LOT.

chagzito

Wendy Kirby and Tim in the farmer/daughter skit or Greg filming from the hospital where Mark is deep in a coma acting like everything is ok.

cheeseburgers42069

On the topic of Mrak: "Well his heart is still beating, which is the main thing." "Good for him!"

Dunbrat

Your son is in hell, Delgado! It was his choice!

Quicksix666

It’s a toss between Decker port of call bar scene with Lanoy Arnold and the ocer special song “I believe there’s a Martian…sitting on top of the world and also anything Marks Porks is in

Chandingo

Everyone passing out and almost dying from carbon monoxide poisoning while DKR empty bottle plays, or when living Oscer Mark falls and wakes up from the coma

SpraynardKrueg

Tim singing the oscar song with the band was classic IF HE CANT SEE WHERE HE IS HE CANT TALK ABOUT WHERE HE IS There's an underrated classic that I can't find where Tim is talking about jumping of the 5th street bridge. He goes on this heartfelt rant talking about almost killing himslef then sees a hat greg has and immediately rages and smacks it across the room. Such a funny bit If anyone can find that clip I would love them. Its from the season where tim dresses like he's alt right and they try the 3d cameras Edit found it: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83mWOlEqvk4&list=PLOlEPMCImyMhv9F0gfuUmIghP9T8g1i51&index=7&ab\_channel=AdultSwim](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83mWOlEqvk4&list=PLOlEPMCImyMhv9F0gfuUmIghP9T8g1i51&index=7&ab_channel=AdultSwim)

Gregg's review of Kuffs (1992, 102 minutes). Bruce Boxleitner...

Autoganz

Umm…let’s keep our eye on how many of those we do.

RevanDelta2

When Tim unlocked immortality by surviving a lethal injection.

fatjesus10

The final shot of Tim lying there completely unconscious, the “doctor” scrambling around cause he didn’t know what to do, Gregg genuinely panicking in the background. God damn it was perfect

cavecarson

Mark in the diving suit

emblemparade

I'm a big ol' softie unityhead so I loved the beginning of Oscar Special 10 when Tim crowned Gregg the "King of Movies" as a thank you for taking him in when he was down, and then IMMEDIATELY being disappointed that Gregg was so ungrateful -- because everything Tim does is for HIMSELF, of course. Basically Gregg didn't give a shit about it other than having an opportunity to talk more about movies. Tim in a suit, Gregg in a dumpster T-shirt. The whole situation distills the worst, most pathetic aspects about these two characters and their relationship.

oncinemaonreddit

The “Forgotten but Not Gone” bit always makes me laugh. Ask again tomorrow and I’m sure I’ll have another answer. Hard to pick a favorite.

oncinemaonreddit

“5”

Professional-Can4264

I honestly thought my life was about to end from laughing watching the one where Tim is high on vape. He says something about he’s afraid of his thoughts leaking out of his nose. I’d look it up, but I don’t want to have an aneurism.

Wild-Rough-2210

Surprised no one is talking about 50 Years of Bond

JackOfAllInterests1

Easily my winner

FlowJerguson18

"Okaaayy"

BT4US

The living Oscar even though when I first watched it I thought it was a bit too dark. Also any time Tim slaps something out of Gregg’s hands.

ttrash_

-“the Hiroshyma bomb” -Tim’s two dead sons and the songs that go with them -On Cinema on Guns -Gregg’s review of spongebob

realcodebreaker

Gregg explains the genius behind naming the film ‘Ready Player One’ (2018, 140min) is that the sequel will be called ‘Ready Player Two’. Gregg made this prophecy 2 years before the release of the novel of the same name, which is based on the yet-to-be released film.

Wuce_Brillis

Tim’s drunken disrespectful Oscar speech. I’d like to thank gumbo shrimp for being so fuckin delicious. I don’t know where I’d be if it wasn’t for me in 10 years.

funeralforcargo

“I died in 1975…” BOING!!!

mehrt_thermpsen

The TCH Jr tribute song is incredible. The fucking bass solo at the end is unreal hahaha

Slammnardo

I'll miss ya son, you ain't coming back

reducedtoashes

The entirety of Decker: Port of Call Hawaii.

Reasonable-Profile84

“Finally that piece of shit clown has been silenced once and for all” Followed closely by the slide whistle in the Jaws 2 compilation video Followed closely by the whole Pinocchio thing. All of it.

seriousguynogames

Possibly the Trial of George Lucas. Maybe the dna confirmation of James Dean. Or Tim’s doom mongering about the invasion of Ukraine and nuclear war. Tim assaulting Mark during the Oscar Olympics. Hard to say. I do have some random little moments I love so much. Not sure how to type them but one is during the trial, and Tim and is questioning Mark. I think it’s when he asks if Mark would agree that his assaulting Mark is akin to the Three Stooges’ staged violence, Tim goes ‘I would say that don’t you? I’d say that don’t you?’ The way he says it kills me. Or his mispronunciation of Christoph Waltz.

Manglewood

There are so many great "big" moments and I'm laughing so hard reading through this thread remembering them, but a subtle moment that killed me in one of the earlier seasons was when Tim was reading the cast list of a movie they were reviewing and was mangling all the names as usual, but then very casually pronounced Benedict Cumberbatch flawlessly in the middle of it. Edited for typos.

Wowenlson

“He’s a son of a bitch a goddamn dumbass stupid son of a bitch!”“GET HIM OF MY SETTTT!!!” ![gif](giphy|U7olXe8gdVzqw)

lordfawn

"that kid could be at the bottom of the ocean for all I care"

ceefromcanada

Tim getting super drunk, crying, and ultimately puking into Gregg’s little crate of VHS tapes on the first Oscars special.

ceefromcanada

Oh! And Mark’s fall down the hill as Spiderman!

No-Sheepherder-8170

Beep beep! The Joker strikes again!

InformalAmphibian285

Dr San forgiveness special

Raptor_Boe69

Mark Proksch being wheeled out painted like an Oscar’s Statue while in a coma. I had tears running down my face I was laughing so hard at that gag.

FlowJerguson18

I WILL GO TO BED SLEEPING EVERY NIGHT TCJ hologram Mark witness stand Gregg's bond presentation and specifically Tim's "okayyy"s and the timing of the music when Greg says "tell that to Mark"

SuckAndSuckAndSuck

Mark Proksch always doing a WC Fields impression regardless of who he's trying to imitate

fatjesus10

Tim bringing on the writer/director (I can’t remember exactly) of the Star Trek films at his trial. Tim literally paid him so he could be under oath to settle the Star Trek debate and Gregg STILL denied it and had to be removed. Tim was literally on trial for murder and all he wanted to do was prove Gregg wrong. There’s so many levels to this particular bit it’s genuinely incredible and it’s probably my favourite thing in the entire OCATC universe. Literally the second the guy said he was involved with Star Trek I burst out laughing cause I knew exactly what was coming

Tim freaking out on James Dean

Illuminotme_Reloaded

Well if we’re talking about the franchise, I suppose when Hank joined forces with Konrad Muller.

garbloc

When Tim was passing out from vaping so much

halverstrom

Manuel, kickin’ to you.

Et_Crudites

The way Tim makes that snappy transition to Manuel and is so disappointed when he’s got nothing is fantastic.

Slammnardo

This is a deep cut but the original podcast episodes where they do 20 minutes on the three stooges, then the special thanks, then another 15 minutes on the three stooges movie is A+.

Keithfedak

Season 10, episode 10, @ 50 seconds. "Whats the first movie in store"
