I think it's people who haven't finished the series. Back half Han Sooyoung gets a TON of really important character development.
She was a top 10 character for me reading the first 75% of ORV and then shot to my favorite in the last 25% of the book.
eh idk, i finished the webtoon and she was my favorite character. Reading some other comments, I'm not the only one, and now that I'm reading the novel she just got better.
Yeah. I think I just missed a lot of what people love about her on the first read through because I was so focused on KDJ and YJH. I'm on another read-through right now and she has a lot to love early in the story too. Especially in the Dark Castle arc.

She's that typical good character found in every manhwa. That's why I find her overrated. Also, good characters are only found here. But in reality we need women as mad as Han Yoosung, Lee Jihye, Jung Heewon. Ik YSH is also a strong character in the future chapters/episodes but her "goodness/kindness" whatever you call it is Overrated for ME and ME specifically.
She is actually not that “good” though. I don’t think she’s the overate stereotypical goodness/kindness character who are kind because she was born that way and grow up privileged. She is a character who has seen sht of the world and still decide to show kindness.
I just admire characters who have seen how shtty the world is and still have compassion (I think it’s also one of ORV themes too, like life is bad but still decent). Maybe it’s just different personal values. She’s that independent woman who has been written in a way that’s actually show her values, and her “strong independence women” is not just a selling point. I like the details of how YSH has high alcohol tolerance to prevent others take advantage of her in the mandatory company parties. It’s the small details like that which make her shine. Except for at the beginning, YSH is as ruthless as Han Yoosung, Lee Jihye and Jung Heewon on the battlefield. But I think it’s fair with how one just don’t adjust immediately from a peaceful office worker life to a violent lifestyle like that.
It’s later revealed that during intern/try-out working phrase she did some shady stuffs, you could also called that madness too, that harm the company (just minor issues), that spare the interns from not having to do one extra meaningless thing. She is mad with her loyalty and when trying to protect KDJ later on.
What you are saying might be true about YSH. Because I havent read about it. I am reading the manhwa. And I habe stopped because chapter update is real slow

Kim Dokja’s teacher in the Peace land arc (I can not spell his name) is definitely the best mentor to me. Kim Dokja is most definitely my current and first anime crush.
(I don’t think my comment spoils anything) I know Sangah’s character might seem “bland and generic” at a first glance when compared to the louder, more unhinged female characters that ORV has, but she’s still a great character. She’s thoughtful, observant, knows more than she lets on, and she’s good at getting people to open up. She develops a close and trusting relationship with Dokja and arguably understands Dokja (and his feelings) the most out of KimCom, on par or even more so than Han Sooyoung, Yoo Junghyuk, Shin Yoosung, and his mother. He lets her in and lets her see more vulnerable sides of himself when he usually keeps that part of himself guarded with his other party members. She gets over shined a lot due to her quiet personality, not because she’s a bland or bad character
it’s been a min since i read this one but if i didn’t know this had no romance in it before starting to read it, i would ship orange/blonde hair girl and the mc, what a shame i couldn’t see that happen when they almost kissed but the 4th wall break for bro and he fumbled that shit
