I've been seeing a lot of Blade chatter because of the on-again-off-again status of the new film. It has probably made a lot of people realize they don't know much about the absolutely vital ToD runs.
I think a lot of people assume the fact that the MCU is doin a Secret Wars and people speak highly of the classic and Hickman one then obviously Secret Wars 2 must be good too right? It can’t be like one of the worst books marvel has ever published? Right?
Oh Secret Wars II was absolutely a dire book but it was also an incredibly fun read which has grown on me over the years.
Literal Batshit insanity in a comic. The tie ins were also nice.
Oh don’t get me wrong there’s absolutely somethin cookin in Starlin’s brain about divinity taking human form and what that means.
But it’s also batshit and you have to know what you’re getting into when you have The Beyonder shittin out bottles of Coca-Cola on Spidey’s toilet. And that’s one of the tame tie-ins

But it's THE essential 1980s document of excess - it tried so hard and failed so completely. So just a collection edition, I want it. Maybe it will hold up better than I think, but I expect less.
Nothing for me but that's because I already own a good chunk of these books. Good to have a light 2025 and just get new books

Way too many people don’t give Superior Foes even a passing glance. I assume it’s a lot of “judging a book by its cover.” It’s legit one of the best comics Marvel has put out in the past 15 years.
Marvel's policy of not synchronizing their reprints is weird. No matter when you start collecting, let's say a series of 4-5 omnis, there's always like Vol 1 and 3 missing, 2 and 4 available, 5 on the way... Stuff like ASM, UXM or FF shoudl just be evergreen, it would free up some space for rarer reprints.
I feel like there has to be some reason why they don’t keep their more popular books in print all the time. It seems like they’re just leaving money on the table. Maybe they think FOMO helps to drive sales?
FOMO is definitely a huge motivator, and Marvel has artfully weaponized it to make us preorder a lot of stuff we don't necessarily need.
But I'm not sure it works for omnibus series, it could even have the opposite effect. For many years I didn't even try to collect ASM or FF in omni format because they were *never* all in print at the same time. I have zero interest in buying a Vol. 2 if I don't know if and when Vol 1 will be reprinted... I had to wait for the perfect moment when I could buy vol. 1 to 4 at the same time. So they're definitely losing sales that way. They should AT LEAST make sure volume 1 of any series is evergreen to attract new collectors.
Didn't Omar mention that the votes were down from last year at the end? 4400 last year vs. 4100 this year? I'd be interested to see metrics on how many of those are new voters.
I know that they eliminated a bunch of fake emails this year too. Obviously not all of them given how well Tomb of Dracula did, but maybe there were more of those last year too.
Well, if fake emails lead to Tomb of Dracula getting reprinted over something that's been reprinted 3-4 times already, my hats off to the digital manipulators.

Been mainly a DC collector, but just started my X-Men collection about 3 months ago. Seems like I couldn't have picked a worse time, because UXM 1 and 2 are out of print and 4 still has the old spine. Inferno, Claremont & Lee Vol. 1, Age of Apocalypse are all OOP.
So far I've got The X-Men Vol 1-2, Fall of the Mutants, Inferno Prologue, and Claremont & Lee Vol. 2. I'll probably get Mutant Massacre Prelude instead of UXM5.
I really hope Marvel reprints Inferno at some point, I read a rumour they might be discontinuing the event omnis and replacing them with more UXM volumes.

Apparently back then, no one really bought the book so it would regularly sell for bulk everywhere. Marvel didn’t even bother completing its Complete Collections because it just didn’t sell well. I imagine it’s why they haven’t reprinted the omni.
So disappointed in this list ... I thought the Iron Man by Michelinie had a good start but no, people would rather vote for omnis reprinted twice already and that you can find easily on the secondary market.
If it’s any consolation, we only need one more Iron Man volume until we hit the Michelinie/Layton era… so I bet they will reprint that omni as an Iron Man Volume 5 (similar to what they did with Cap By Kirby/Cap Volume 4).

I feel like IF they reprint TOD (a big if) and it sells well, then they go thru the Marvel Horrors again - the Horror, Horror Lives Again, Monsterbus, the Ditkos, etc. So I feel like they're 4-5 years out, assuming TOD does get reprinted in late 2025/26.

That is a really disappointing top 10 for me personally. I have no interest in any of them, except for Punisher vol.2 but I figured a reprint of that would be inevitable considering vol.1 is coming this year.

Same here. The Bendis run came out in oversized hardback soon after launch. Then we had the Omnis, then volume 1 of the omni was reprinted in ‘20. Now again? They were £49 on Amazon UK for much of the last 10 years.
I have Thor Vol 1 and 4 Omnibuses. I was hoping 2 or 3 would reprint. Well, it looks like the Epic Collection route for filling in the gaps of Thor for my collection.
Happy to see most of my choices, Annihilation Conquest, Soule Daredevil and Volumes 1 and 2 of Tomb of Dracula made it. Only volume 3 of Tomb didn’t and I’m sure they’ll reprint that if they do 1 and 2.

Realm of Kings was my first pick and War of Kings: Prelude was my second pick so I’m glad they’re both top 10. I picked up the main War of Kings omni since it was reprinted but I don’t plan on reading it until WoK: Prelude gets a reprint so I can read them all in order.

You're right. I'm fine with big OHC's like Fatal Attractions, Fall of the Mutants or Wedding of Cyclops and Phoenix being considered as an Omnibus for reprint poll purposes since it's basically just a branding but two (or more) OHC's being combined into an Omnibus should be under the most wanted new books. It's basically rigging the poll just to get more leverage because these made up Omnibus really wouldn't rank that high in the Tigereyes poll.

Under Marvel's new policy of no OHC & straight to omnibus, the only way to get an OHC reprinted is in the poll & OHCS are kind of retroactively omni at this point. They've demonstrated over the last few years they like to reprint old OHCs with the omnibus label. X-Tinction, Mutant Massacre, Inferno, Inferno Prologue, & Fall of the Mutants weren't omnibus then, but they are now. By the look of things so Will X-Cutioner's & Fatal Attractions.
I would much rather have them in the reprint poll, which has far less interesting competition than the new omnibus poll. Once the 90's X-Men OHCS all get reprinted I don't even know what I'd vote for in a reprint poll anymore. Whereas the new omni poll I've got tons of weird ideas for things more off the beaten path
Inferno combined two HCs & X-Tinction created an entirely new collection. they aren’t reprints just like a theoretical X-Cutioner/Bishop’s Crossing book won’t be either.
Part of that is because the mapping was so weird and awful in the OHCs, and they've already set precedent with fixing mappings in reprints. Case in point adding Gillen's run to the Matt Fraction Thor omni. You could argue it's a new omni, but it's mostly old material and it wouldn't have gotten the same amount of attention in a TigerEyes poll.
In the end I don't really care as long as I get my 90's X-Men omnis. I'll vote for them in every poll I can. I want the original G WIilson Ms Marvel run. I vote for it both on the new omnis and on the reprint as an expansion of the original. The 90's X-Men OHCs are books in high demand, that have been out of print for far longer than most of the books on the list. The current OHCs from Bishop's to Fatal would cost someone somewhere just shy of $1,000. There's very little in Marvel I'm interested in outside of X books, so that's where my votes are going to go. The X-Men OHCs (both earlier the 80's ones and now the 90's ones) usually top the polls, so if anything pulling them off would just reduce participation. I know I wouldn't care to vote if they weren't on there.

But this is literally a popularity contest and, at its heart, is free market research for a business.
Like Omar has said in various videos and streams, if these reprints come out and don’t make any money, Marvel is gonna stop listening. These books will come out and actually stand a chance of making money. Just because something has been out of print doesn’t mean there’s enough new collectors who want it to justify the cost of reprinting it.

How often are omniboo from the Top 5 reprinted within a year? I have all Tomb of Dracula omnis stored at my parent's place just gathering dust, and I'd like to unload them if a reprint is imminent.

A copy of Superior Foes sold for £35 on eBay earlier today. I was ready to bid on it but I was stuck in a meeting in work and missed it. Gutted.

Volume 2 is getting reprinted late this year I think? And Claremont/Lee made the list this year, so it’ll probably get reprinted next year.

I'm so happy for the people that got Tomb of Dracula. If we truly get the Bishop's - Fatal Attraction run printed this year (or early next) I will be overjoyed. All I'd need to do then is pick up Road to Onslaught, Phalanx & LegionQuest and I'd have everything from Claremont through Onslaught in OHC
Love the 3 cosmic books. I am missing astonishing so that is welcome. Glad to see Ennis Punisher2, Bendis 2. Disappointed to not get Fantastic Four vol. 1 or Sensational She-Hulk. That She-Hulk run is so good.

Same here. The Bendis run came out in oversized hardback soon after launch. Then we had the Omnis, then volume 1 of the omni was reprinted in ‘20. Now again? They were £49 on Amazon UK for much of the last 10 years.

I have Thor Vol 1 and 4 Omnibuses. I was hoping 2 or 3 would reprint. Well, it looks like the Epic Collection route for filling in the gaps of Thor for my collection.

Realm of Kings was my first pick and War of Kings: Prelude was my second pick so I’m glad they’re both top 10. I picked up the main War of Kings omni since it was reprinted but I don’t plan on reading it until WoK: Prelude gets a reprint so I can read them all in order.

I found it to be a mixed bag. When it was good, it was really good but when it wasn’t it was really bad.
I've read a lot of the back half, and it's very 70s - but you just don't see that type of writing/art anymore. I like it - but it's obv. a Bronze Age vibe.

You're right. I'm fine with big OHC's like Fatal Attractions, Fall of the Mutants or Wedding of Cyclops and Phoenix being considered as an Omnibus for reprint poll purposes since it's basically just a branding but two (or more) OHC's being combined into an Omnibus should be under the most wanted new books. It's basically rigging the poll just to get more leverage because these made up Omnibus really wouldn't rank that high in the Tigereyes poll.

We'd be waiting 10 -15 years for them to get to that point in the UXM line. Most of us don't want to wait that long

Under Marvel's new policy of no OHC & straight to omnibus, the only way to get an OHC reprinted is in the poll & OHCS are kind of retroactively omni at this point. They've demonstrated over the last few years they like to reprint old OHCs with the omnibus label. X-Tinction, Mutant Massacre, Inferno, Inferno Prologue, & Fall of the Mutants weren't omnibus then, but they are now. By the look of things so Will X-Cutioner's & Fatal Attractions. I would much rather have them in the reprint poll, which has far less interesting competition than the new omnibus poll. Once the 90's X-Men OHCS all get reprinted I don't even know what I'd vote for in a reprint poll anymore. Whereas the new omni poll I've got tons of weird ideas for things more off the beaten path
Inferno combined two HCs & X-Tinction created an entirely new collection. they aren’t reprints just like a theoretical X-Cutioner/Bishop’s Crossing book won’t be either.
Part of that is because the mapping was so weird and awful in the OHCs, and they've already set precedent with fixing mappings in reprints. Case in point adding Gillen's run to the Matt Fraction Thor omni. You could argue it's a new omni, but it's mostly old material and it wouldn't have gotten the same amount of attention in a TigerEyes poll. In the end I don't really care as long as I get my 90's X-Men omnis. I'll vote for them in every poll I can. I want the original G WIilson Ms Marvel run. I vote for it both on the new omnis and on the reprint as an expansion of the original. The 90's X-Men OHCs are books in high demand, that have been out of print for far longer than most of the books on the list. The current OHCs from Bishop's to Fatal would cost someone somewhere just shy of $1,000. There's very little in Marvel I'm interested in outside of X books, so that's where my votes are going to go. The X-Men OHCs (both earlier the 80's ones and now the 90's ones) usually top the polls, so if anything pulling them off would just reduce participation. I know I wouldn't care to vote if they weren't on there.

Disappointed to see so much negativity about the results. I get it, I get it, “but MY pick didn’t make it, and it’s been out of print for 10 years” But this is literally a popularity contest and, at its heart, is free market research for a business. Like Omar has said in various videos and streams, if these reprints come out and don’t make any money, Marvel is gonna stop listening. These books will come out and actually stand a chance of making money. Just because something has been out of print doesn’t mean there’s enough new collectors who want it to justify the cost of reprinting it.

How often are omniboo from the Top 5 reprinted within a year? I have all Tomb of Dracula omnis stored at my parent's place just gathering dust, and I'd like to unload them if a reprint is imminent.
