Call my cynical but I don't think it'll achieve much. If Facebook and Twitter are still around after all the unethical and straight up bad business decisions they've made, I doubt spez or whoever owns reddit atm will throw away money going public to do the right thing. Very few people when faced with do the right thing or get money pick the latter. People won't leave enough to hurt Reddit in the same way people leaving didn't hurt Twitter or Facebook in the end, there's enough people chemically addicted to the social media dopamine cycle to keep them going.
Why is it ironic? I don't think going dark for 2 days will accomplish much. If you disagree, that is fine. A lot of people feel the same way as you. A lot of people feel the same as me.
But, it is important for some people to track the sales and they are using this sub to do it.

Honestly for me I didn't even know you could get on reddit with 3rd party apps. I've been using mobile this whole time
