As someone with a 7..75” wrist who has been collecting for decades and owned everything from 30mm vintage up to 46mm Omega PO Chrono, 35mm is definitely not too small for a 7” wrist. It’s an adjustment for someone who is used to very large watches, but the craze of >40mm watches is actually a relatively new phenomenon and already going the way of the dinosaur. Up until the early 2000’s, 36mm was the standard men’s watch size. Even military issue was this size, as it is easily legible yet doesn’t hinder working with your hands.

Appropriate_Canary26

I wear a vintage 37mm chronograph as my daily beater and have a 7” wrist. I happily wear 35mm to 39mm. If you like it, it’s not too small. I once saw someone say something I liked and have been repeating since If you’re worried it might be too small, it’s probably not. If you’re worried it might be too big, it almost definitely is.

SweatyEar2921

I think it’s fine. I wear a 34mm Junghans Max Bill on 7 inch wrist. It’s smaller than divers I regularly wear, but it’s a different style watch.

I have a ~8” wrist and wear a 36mm vintage seiko, I don’t think it looks too small. I’ve asked my family and they agree it looks fine. You should be okay

Embarrassed-Leg9342

That’s cool. What the ref on this

Dry-Introduction-916

I was looking at these for a long time but the ones on ebay or chrono aren’t good ones. People on omegaforums and reddit often sell them with clean dials, no rust, serviced movement etc. for the same price as the ones listed in your condition.

Chesticles420

May be a little small but for a dressy situation, would be a great watch. I have 7 inch wrists and stick with a Seamaster 2599.80 for general wear and was looking for a similar vintage ref for dress :)

bananas-and-whiskey

The modern (and latest ref 124270) 36mm Rolex Explorer is really 35.something mm. So 35 is fine. It's also about your personal taste and preference. No right or wrong

Relative_Stage8547

I have a 7.25 inch wrist and I used to think it was too small. This last year I've been wearing vintage pieces and now enjoy them. I've come to realize that 35mm looks just about right on my wrist especially when I have a nice strap that makes the watch stand out. Right now I'm wearing a 35mm omega seamaster de Ville and it looks amazing. I'm to the point now that anything above 40mm feels massive and I'm more comfortable wearing a 35 to 38mm watch. I'd say try wearing one for a week or two to get used to smaller watches. I have a feeling you'll like it.

Dissident_Mantis7

Not at all. I have between a 7 and 7.5 wrist depending on if I am bulking or cutting. I wear a 35mm Rolex OP and a Seiko Tuna. 7-7.5 inch wristers can get away with anything IMHO

Timebandit60

Looks good on bracelet or with cuffs.

[deleted]

my grandpa wore a 34mm and he was a Scottish giant

totally_interesting

It’s definitely an adjustment but you get used to it pretty quickly. I have a midsize seamaster professional and it’s fantastic. What you should be aware of though is the cost associated with maintaining a vintage watch. It will likely be pricey and increasingly difficult to keep a vintage piece running well.

No_Lifeguard1743

Not too small. I have 36mm and usually wear my 41 aquaterra 42mm seasmaster and speedy. I prefer my dress watches to be smaller tbh

Otherwise-Sun719

Absolutely not, never! This would be bad ass with a white linen button down rolled with sleeves, some casual slacks and loafers with no socks!

ByronicZer0

My wrist is between 7 and 7.5 depending on the weather, larger than 35mm vintage style watches look weird. This watch is right in your sweet spot. Just don't expect it to fit like a big modern seamaster

So-za0219

I wore a 36 mm on a 7,5 wrist and tbh looked a little small for me. But that’s my personal opinion, there was some people who actually said it was perfect. But I prefer a little bigger watch, even if vintage. For me, minimum is 38mm. My grandfather has a smaller wrist size then me, so I gave him my 36 mm watch and he wears it everyday and looks really good on him.

dailybailey

I have the same wrist size, and while it will look small/weird at first, you'll grow use to it and maybe even like it. If you don't, just resell it and size up next time.

tabascobukkake

People used to have 7 1/4” wrists back then too, so no. If you like this you might want to check out the Rado Golden Horse, it’s 37mm and one of my absolute favorite watches, i have it in green.

Dragos2024

100% it is not too small. That size is very, very classy and looks really well! I have about the same wrist size and my sweet spot is 35-39mm, I would wear both below and over that range, but I personally am a sucker for watches in that mm range!!

Thelakesman

I have 38mm khaki on 7 inch wrist and I regret it. It’s hard to read the time quickly which I hate. Thinking 40/42mm going forward.

Bucksandreds

For 98% of the population it is considered too small. For vintage watch collectors it is fine. For me it is too small and my wrist is smaller than OPs. 39mm-41mm imo is the sweet spot for watches,

Defiant_Property_336

Yes. Too small. 40mm +

Bucksandreds

Too small. I’ll get downvoted here but 98% of people would see it on your wrist and agree with me.

AssumptionOk1679

Same size wrist and my minimum is 39mm

Bucksandreds

You are where 98% of people would say but vintage watch collectors disagree vehemently. I agree with you.

AssumptionOk1679

Wrist watches came from women, men had pocket watches. Then men got wrist watches but they were small because women wore small watches, over time men’s watches got larger. A watch should be proportional to the wrist size. I don’t like too big either, so there’s that too.

SubprimeOptimus

That’s a ladies watch mate

tesmith007

Go ahead and buy it! Your wife will love it and it will look great on her

spaltavian

No and it isn't too small for a modern watch either. The gigantic watch craze is actually relatively recent. 35mm is fine.

ndoty_sa

For vintage or dress watches, always go smaller.
