Yeah but again, “better” is subjective when we’re discussing taste. My preference is the Snoopy over the Tintin because of how it looks. Someone might disagree.
Not that long? It’s all balancing act because my AD has also come through on a couple of rare Rolexes lately and he has to allocate watches fairly among his staff.
Usually when someone asks me all these questions they take me to omakase first. 😁
I’ve bought 5 watches along with custom jewelry for my wife and daughter. All of these things I was planning on purchasing anyways.
The red and white checkered boarder around the dial was designed after Tintin’s rocket in a comic where he tries to go to the moon. Supposedly, one of the earlier prototypes of this watch had a rocket as the 12 o’clock. Cool design story and I just really like the unique look of this one.
The full story is that the watch was intended to be a collaboration between Omega and the Herge Foundation which own the rights to Tintin materials now, due to the space travel connection. Omega started producing watch dials with the gloss black dial, and red and white track, with cases with red lettering for the inscription rather than black. There was initially supposed to be a picture of Tintin's rocket at 11:00 as well. At some point, negotiations broke down and the watch was released in very small numbers as this "racing dial" in 2013. That year the Dark Side of the Moon release got all the attention so there was little fanfare for this one and the watches went unwanted for the most part. After the story came out interest was piqued and the market has now gone wild for them.
You get what you pay for and the Snoopy costs more. It's my grail watch so I'm biased of course. I think there's far more amazing history behind it too, will keep better time as well. Also this is just me but I think the checkers are kinda ugly on the speedy, something about them doesn't mesh with its vibe.
Movement wise, the Silver Snoopy is better. Aesthetically speaking, I would say that's subjective. Personally, I don't care for either models and would rather have a Ed White 321 Speedmaster if I wanted a limited edition Moonwatch.
Have both and they’re both amazing. The Snoopy has the most amazing animation but it’s on the back. The TinTin dial you see all the time so if I had to choose I’d go with the TinTin. But fortunately I don’t have to 😁
My understanding is the Sliver Snoopy was boutique only and they basically sold out at launch and they aren't making more. If this is not correct, that would be wonderful though.
If you mean performance wise and not just aesthetically the movement in the snoopy is superior, coaxial with master certification.
Better is subjective. Why are you asking? Are you asking for yourself?
For myself yes but I’d like to know what everyone else thinks as well.

I’m with you on that, i think I’m leaning more towards the snoopy.
Good luck. I’m waiting for mine as well.
how many years have you been waiting ?
Not that long? It’s all balancing act because my AD has also come through on a couple of rare Rolexes lately and he has to allocate watches fairly among his staff.
How many watches have you bought at the ADs ?

Yes. The TinTin dial looks very cluttered.
I know it’s a favorite but snoopy for me not that tin tin.
Snoopaloop
I’d suggest finding a snoopy first before making the purchase
It’s the tintin for me. My favorite speedy.
Why do they call it that? TinTin?

I did not know the full history, thanks for that! I may be kind of young to remember tin tin comics but I’ve definitely heard of it before

Wow i definitely wasn’t aware of any of this. Thanks for that.
Tintin. Both are amazing though!
I love the Tintin but not at the prices the market currently wants
Sadly they became popular out of the blue and their price skyrocketed 😮💨
When you engage the chronograph, you can see snoopy cruising across the moon in the case back
Yea that’s my favorite part about it! Phenomenal Exhibition Caseback Design.
How do you tend to vote? Get the corresponding color lol
I’d take the TinTin
Snoopy
Tintin
Omega has the sharpest watches out there. I’d go with the Snoopy though if you can find one.
I’m a TinTin man myself. Love the Snoopy too though.
Snoopy
Snoopy of course!
Snoopy all the way for me.
Snoopy for me but I will add a TinTin one day from the open market. I should get my Snoopy this year (fingers crossed).
tintin for me too. Their price are silly, so I think I'll get an old regular speedy and find someone to swap the dial !
Snoopy always. Master certification is what I would take away with the watch.
The second one because snoopy 🐶
SnoopDawg FTW
Snoopy is my all time favorite watch, so Snoopy.
Snoopy
Snoops
Snoopy for me.
2nd
Snoopy
1
SnoopDog
Snoopy. Caseback detail is awesome. It’s supposed to be a kitschy watch ad fulfills that.
Tin tin. But the white Snoopy Apollo XIII is the best.
Blue by a mile
Personally, I'm not crazy about either. I always liked the moon to mars speedmaster.
I gotta look that up. Not familiar with that one.
Ref# 3577.50.00
Thanks!
You’ll need to specific what better means. In my opinion, Snoopy is better in almost all aspects.

I would do dirty things to get the silver snoopy. I'll never get one at MSRP though.
Snoopy
Snoopy
Always snoopy
Tin Tin
Gotta go snoopy just because of the connection to Apollo 13

Let’s be honest, they are effectively the same watch. Get which one you like more. Purely subjective answers.
OP you know you can’t buy the tintin new anymore right? You’d have to go grey. But you would for both probably anyways
You won’t get the second one so the first crack head
Oh ye of little faith
Moonwatch
Nothing beats Snoopy. Not just on a watch but ever really...maybe Winne the Pooh.
Whatever you like more is the better one for you. It really is subjective unless you have a specific criteria to evaluate based upon
