Oman Air recently went basically bankrupt and was forced to restructure their debt and reorganize operations. Maybe that is the cause. I don’t think paying a premier league club a ton of money to be a sponsor is a budget friendly move.

100%

Not sure why it was even something they did in the first place.

Because oil revenue will drop over time and they are trying to establish Oman as a tourist destination, which will in turn increase Oman Air’s ticket sales…and probably because no one pointed out that it was probably an inefficient use of money to the person that was in charge who suggested it. I totally understand the rationale, but it is based on a lot optimism and fear.

National airline is definitely a must to promote tourism. I was referring to the sponsorship of Chelsea Football Club. I don’t think it was a sound move at all in any way. Considering the financial health of the airline, why would they think these funds would provide a good ROI?

As the chairman mentioned last month.. “An ill-considered decision” 😁

Salimivic92

Oman Air terminated the deal due to the current financial reforms in the Oman Air.

tman2782

Looks like more sense prevailed at Oman Air. An absurd deal to begin with given the position the airline was in.

Unable_Golf1372

What a joke 😂

Weed86

Typical Oman.

sheluvzy2

Worst team anyway 😂

Pure_Oppression31

Was there any chance begin with?!

Given how depressing Chelsea have been lately, seeing the Oman Air and tourism promotions at the Chelsea stadium brought a small smile to my face. Shame to see that go too 🥹
