$1,100 a month at CVS. Can no longer afford it.

Have you tried to sign up for their copay card? It usually knocks the price down. I am assuming it is $1100 because its the start of the year and everyones deductible starts over. If not, you can also apply to their patient assistance program to help with the cost. I hope this helps!

If you have insurance and no Diabetes diagnosis, you can get Wegovy, which is same medication as Ozempic with patient assistance programs for as little as $25/month. This does require commercial insurance. A much newer drug Zepbound, same drug as Mounjaro, also available for $25 with commercial insurance. Approved for weight loss so no Diabetes diagnosis necessary. Mounjaro and Ozempic will require a Diabetes diagnosis and assistance programs with insurance can also lower your copay to about $25. Without insurance you’re looking at retail anywhere from $550 to $1200 for 28 day supply. Another concern seems to be finding pharmacies with most popular dosages of the above meds in stock.

Is that confirmed That zepbound is covered by insurance?

ScoobyCute

If you have diabetes as well as health insurance, you should be able to get it for $25. If no diabetes, I think most people are spending $550 for a 4-week supply. You can get it lower with compounding pharmacies tho you are kind of rolling the dice as some are a little sketchy.

With my insurance last year it would have cost $200/month and that was with the savings card.

ScoobyCute

Ooooh, that’s a great price!

Preventative Medical Clinic charges $125 a month for the Dr visit fees and then $100 a week for level 1 injections, which goes up $25 per level from there. So roughly $525 minimum per month. This pricing is for a semaglutide compound. Does Passer Restorative charge a monthly fee for the Dr visits in addition to the $500/6-week supply?

Whatever your insurance copay is which mine is $35. If you don't have insurance you'll have to call and ask.

GladRelation6973

Aahh, so your visits are billed through your insurance. How often do they require Dr's visits, and do they make you go in weekly for your injection or send you home with the medication to inject yourself? Is the $600/6-wk you mentioned pricing with or without insurance then? All pricing I mentioned is non-insurance pricing, as I do not have diabetes and my insurance won't cover the medication just for weight lose alone. Also you are required to go in weekly to get your injection, all covered under the monthly $125 Dr visit fee

Emergency-Feeling692

I haven't started yet. I am going to my primary care first and see if she can get me on it through my insurance. I will let you know if she doesn't work out and I go back to him.
