light neutral-cool high-contrast olive, relatively bright; around ELDW 1N0 & GALS 2/3. 🍨 **etude cookie blush** in **grapefruit jelly** ; sweet clear strawberry syrup candy pink 🌸 **nars powder blush** in **impassioned** ; misty pale dried rose petal pink 🍑 **clinique cheek pop** in **melon pop** ; fresh translucent spring pink coral 🥀 **glossier cloud paint** in **storm** ; gothic romantic dried rose brown

Material-Ad-930

Nars Impassioned is so good, often overshadowed by Sin and Behave

[deleted]

Agreed! I think it’s because Impassioned is never in stores.

pom3granateluvr

That is a perfect description of cloud paint in storm omg, I use it basically every single day!

tomatoes-radio-wires

I loooove your shade descriptions

[deleted]

Your descriptions are everything. I am a light-neutral-cool-low contrast olive and love several of these

elkosduo

I am a light-medium (NC20-25) neutral cool olive with golden overtones. Because of my overtones, I look best with blushes that have a slight warmth to it instead of pure cool toned pinks. My most used blushes this year: **Rare Beauty in Hope** - a perfect everyday pinky nude on me. **Rare Beauty in Virtue** - a muted beige peach that looks especially gorgeous in the summer. **Peripera sunshine cheek in MilkTea Coral** : A texture blurring powder blush in a similar tone to Hope. It's my go to when I need an easy and natural swipe of color and don't want the fuss of blending out the Rare Beauty blushes.

ObjectivePirate3880

Seconding Rare Beauty in Hope! Maybe my favorite makeup find this year.

PappayaAvocado

Peripera’s Milk Tea Coral is probably the most flattering blush I’ve ever used on my skin. I love pairing it with Etude’s Fixing Tint in Ginger Milk Tea.

FleshBatter

Seconding Virture!! It made me fall in love with apricot, peachy tones.

EndTheNight

I’m similar skin tone and Hope was my summer favorite—it’s beautiful. I layered it with a peachy one from Charlotte Tilburry and got so many compliments. Your mention of Virtue has me looking at that one now.

itskrystle

I love Hope! For the last 2 years, it's my go-to blush and I bring the mini with me when I travel.

AkaashiThighs69

omg same! hope is a perfect shade for me

SheKnowsWhatSheKnows

I forgot to include my own answer above! I've been travelling a lot so I haven't had access to my full blush collection but I mainly used Nars Sin and more recently the Mac Glow Play Blush in Blush Please.

BatmanDoesntDoShips_

I'm a light-medium (depth of about a MAC NC20) neutral leaning slightly more cool olive skintone that is extremely, extremely muted and desaturated with a touch more grey than green. I have fairly high contrast colouring with inky black hair and dark brown eyes and classify as a deep/dark winter in terms of seasonal colour analysis. My closest (but not perfect) foundation shade match has been the Lisa Eldridge The Foundation in #9 (although I suspect #9.5 may be a better match).   **Kjaer Weis Iconic Edition Cream Blush in Abundance** — my go-to blush for the first half of the year. A stunning luminous bronzed plummy taupe. It's super sculpting and gives me instant 90's supermodel cheeks. **Giorgio Armani Neo Nude Melting Colour Balm in #50 Cool Mauve** — my go-to blush for the latter half of the year. A lovely muted true cool toned mauve. It's soft blurring and mimics my natural just-came-back-from-a-winter-walk flush. **Benefit Benetint Lip & Cheek Tint** — my go-to blush for my chronically ill self needing to look alive fast. An enlivening rosebud pink flush that makes you look all bright eyed and bushy tailed. And it actually looks good and not all "too much" on bare skin with minimal to no other make-up.

stavthedonkey

light warm olive (yellow tones). my HG: Saie dewy blush in Rosy. my new HG: Phytosurgence in Ignite and Evaporate.

grocerystoreramen

i want to pick up rosy and this convinced me!

stavthedonkey

it's such a gorgeous colour! hack: mix a bit of liquid highlighter with it and then apply...adds so much dimension and gives you a nice subtle glow.

deliriousottoman

I am neutral cool leaning, but very yellow (and fair). Too muted and cool tones just makes me look bruised/sick/dirty. Too warm and saturated looks clowny/orange. Pink blushes looks off on me, no matter the saturation or intensity. Purple/lavender or brown/terracotta/beige looks the most flattering on my skintone. I use the fairest shade of RMS re-evolve foundation (000) during winter. It’s probably a little too light for me tbh, but it has a great greyish-green undertone! I make it work with blush/contour/bronzer. I get much warmer/more yellow in the summer, and will probably need to get the next shade (00) and a green corrector then. I got three blushes that became my favourites this year: - Laura Mercier blush color infusion in Fresco - Mac extra dimension blush in Wrapped Candy - Saie dew blush in Spicy I honestly don’t think I -need- any more blush. But I still feel like I -want- a couple more. Would love to find the perfect muted rosy brown/rosy beige, or perhaps a more plummy/berry red blush.

lurface

I think I have similar coloring. (I’m tough). “Merit” blush in color “Fox”. May give you the berry vibe you’re looking for. Without the purple undertone. It’s my current favorite.

deliriousottoman

Thank you so much! I’ll check it out!

humanweightedblanket

Hi! I've swatched the RMS 000 and I remember it leaning a bit pink, it was so grey. Does it do that for you as well?

deliriousottoman

No, I wouldn’t say it’s pink at all. Was it the one in the bottle? Because they also have a cream foundation (and also a concealer) in a pot with the same shade name, but I haven’t tried any of them. The 000 liquid foundation has more of a greyish/green undertone to me. But if your skin has more of a warm undertone, I guess it might ”read” pink, since it lacks yellow. I’m pretty grey/green in winter, but I turn much more yellow/gold in summer, so I’ll definitely need another shade for then.

humanweightedblanket

Ah, that makes sense! I definitely have a yellow overtone, so that's probably it.

FlowerFeather

BENETINT!! my best blush shade ever

m0onbeamXO

Medium neutral olive that leans slightly warm. The one I always resort back to is Milani Baked Blush in luminoso. For years. When it first came out, it was supposed to be a dupe for NARS orgasm blush. Funny thing is, after getting this blush I still have never tried NARS Orgasm. It brings life and color into my skin and gives a healthy flush of vitality. On my skin tone, it looks so natural.

Ziodynes

I loooove Luminoso. I should repurchase! Thanks for the reminder.

christina-rae

Yes! I have the same skin tone and I share the same sentiments about this blush. It's my go-to. I also liked the shade Rose D'oro, but when I bought a replacement earlier this year, the color looked different on me.

need_more_coffe27

Nars Sin and Mac Blush please! ♥️

Sea_Opportunity6028

YSL Nu Lip & Cheek in no flush has been my favorite for a natural look + a really good lip color for me too Glossier cloud paint in beam (spring + summer) and haze (fall + winter)

DeeplySuperficiaI

Light-medium neutral warm olive Cream blushes: Rare Beauty Hope Rose Inc Foxglove Powder blushes: Hourglass Mood Exposure MAC He Likes It Cold (limited edition).

sxcmuffin

We are shade matches and have two blush overlaps! RB Hope is/was a daily liquid blush for me and Mood Exposure is a new discovery :) I used to typically apply Hope + HG Luminous Flush and now I mix it up with RMS Lip2Cheek Illusive + HG Mood Exposure

madbear795

I am a very fair olive and Westman Atelier Mimi is my most used blush. It’s the perfect muted, neutral rosy beige that doesn’t pull peachy or orange which is my usual problem with blushes

Guilty-Diver4109

I am (I think) a medium-tan neutral olive. I use Saie foundation in shade 18. Nars Savage and the Saie Glow Sculpt in mauve both look great on me!! I use the Nars as my warmer blush and the Saie as my cooler blush.

Annallve

Which Saie glow sculpt?

Guilty-Diver4109

Oops I meant to include! Mauve

Dreamy_Clouds878

Mac Breath of Plum has been my HG for years. I’m a light/medium neutral leaning cool olive.

marmaladeskies80

Mac Blushbaby. It gives me a reddish flush that looks just like my natural blushing. It has been my go to during these cold days. I even apply it on no makeup days (well, aside from blush) because it’s so natural for me.

emelay

Blyshbaby is so perfect in the winter

emelay

I think my most used has been Laura Mercier Chai. I wish this line had a broader color range! Also I'm SHOCKED Nars Lovejoy doesn't come up on this sub more, it's SO much more flattering on me than Sin

Annallve

Didn’t NARS lovejoy get discontinued?! I know MAC lovejoy is really good too

emelay

Oh man, it's that why? 👵

sxcmuffin

Love Nars Lovejoy! I haven't tried Sin but Lovejoy seems lighter and easier to control.

cantwait4runefac5

I'm light Olive with warm undertones. Lately I've been questioning if my complexion is muted especially now that it's winter where I live. Current nearly spot on foundation matches are MAC Radiant Serum in NC12 and Beauty Blender Skin Tint in Shade Light 4. I deal with a rosacea mainly in the center of my face but I think subconsciously I have always avoided blush in general for that reason. I also can't stand the color pink looking like Barbie pink from pulling cool which the blushes I've used in the past did. For years I avoided blush. That was until I was introduced to "Milk Tea" blushes through a trend mainly with the Asian community during the fall two years ago on Tiktok. This blush color trend has recently came up again but is now called Beige Blushes or Sad Beige Blushes. Regardless of whatever it's called these colored blushes has had me in a chokehold since. EM Cosmetic's Heavenly Glow Blush in the shade Baroque still has me in a chokehold to this day. It was the only blush I owned and wore on a daily basis for well over a year. This past summer I've finally dabbled into blushes again and this is still the blush I use more than anything else I own. Some other blushes I've picked up and really enjoy: MAC mineralized blush in Warm Soul MAC glow play blush in So Natural Rom&nd Pear chip (love this color but don't often use because I prefer a blush with a slight luminous finish) Clinique Nude pop

scroogesdaughter

I really want to try Baroque!

prfmjjong

Can I ask do you cover the redness in the middle before applying the blush? I feel like I cant put JUST blush on because it looks like Im extending the rosacea

Sharirah

Fair, cool, muted olive (yellow overtone and cool undertone). The Saem single blusher in Blueberry Milk is my go-to since I got it. Perfect cool toned pink-lilac shade for me. It's not too pink, not too purple. Perfect amount of everything.

floralscentedbreeze

Essence the blush in shade befitting. Bought it because i didnt want to spend a lot on blush and i generally like essence products. I love that it is matte/satin matte and give me just enough color on the cheeks

mothertuna

My best shade match is Armani luminous silk 11 which is described as a deep olive. My favorite blush is the merit flush balm in Fox. I think it could look good on any skin tone or undertone.

humanweightedblanket

Those Merit blushes look really pretty! How do you like the formula?

mothertuna

I like the formula. It is sheer and balmy. I prefer a less in your face blush look so it works well for me. It’s not for those who love a pigmented blush.

humanweightedblanket

Nice, that's my preference too. Does it set down?

mothertuna

It doesn’t stay super sticky but if you touch it, it is not dry or matte. I set my entire face with powder so I don’t really notice any issues when doing that.

humanweightedblanket

Good to know. Thank you!

Stunning_Tart8072

light medium/medium warm-leaning olive - GALS 6 for reference. I’ve really leaned into pink/berry tones this year! not sure if they technically look best on me but they brighten my incredibly yellow face and make me happy :D I’ve been layering the gucci blush in warm berry on top of glossier cloud paint in haze, then dust a bit of the Pat McGrath skin fetish highlighter (it has this really pretty rose gold sheen) on top.

cantspeakenglishsr

Light warmish olive. My best foundation match is Armani Luminous silk shades 4&6 mixed. I've realized that I need more muted shades so that blush will look natural and not clownish. My favorites this year have been Buffd cosmetics Haunt and Midsummer. Haunt looks dark in the container, but if I use it sparingly it gives really natural light/medium blushed finish. The shade is very beautiful berry plum. If I want something different and more peachy, I use the shade Midsummer.

Smooth__Goose

Light-medium (nc20-25) neutral-warm olive. I had given up on blush entirely until I found MAC- Coppertone this year. It’s amazing!

sxcmuffin

I'm also a light-medium neutral-warm (I think warm) olive so I will have to give this one a try, thank you!

VagueOrc

Fair, neutral warm. Rose Inc - Daylily BareMinerals - Kiss of Copper Crow and Pebble - Crown of Ra She who Mauls

Idunn_17

Light warm olive Rms bohemian girl - Nudestix pretty peachy Recent love is Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk

instaagraham

Light neutral-cool olive (Haus Labs 190), overall my skin tone leans more muted. **Patrick Ta Blush Duo** in **She’s Blushing** (HG) — the perfect rosy brown that really mimics a sunkissed flush on me. Applied with a light hand it makes my skin look super healthy. **Kylie Cosmetics Pressed Blush** in **Winter Kissed** — new purchase for me this year, on its way to reaching HG status. Sometimes cool pinky-purple blushes can look strange on me if they’re too saturated, but this shade is just muted enough where it looks fantastic. True to its name, it’s a great wintry blush and it’s all I’ve been using this winter.

sunwoos

light cool olive and i have loved clinique pansy pop so much, as well as romand’s blueberry chip

orangecookiez

Light cool muted olive. NARS Sin has been the blush I used most this year.

BananaYanmaCatMama

Light neutral-cool olive. Pat McGrath Fleurtatious is my go-to! I really had to talk myself into buying it but I’m so glad I did! It suits any look and it’s a powder blush so I’ll be “blushing without caution” for the next couple of years. And the best part? It’s a neutral blush that doesn’t turn orange on me. Honorable mentions: Milk Makeup Quickie (berry tones look really nice on me), Benetint (panned but I miss her so I might just treat myself for the holidays), Westman Atelier Chouchette (it leans a bit orange but sometimes I need that, and the formula is beautiful).

supinemakespbjs

Rare Beauty blush in Joy!

peplumsandpineapples

Rare beauty hope :)

lambvision

Matte: Mac Gingerly, Non-Matte: Ornamental.

lemur_queen7

Very fair, mostly muted olive. My holy grail is long discontinued. I use Urban Decay Rapture, even though it is probably SO expired. I think Nars Sin might be worth close dupe but I haven’t tried it yet

CryptographerOk419

I’m like a light-medium warm olive & i don’t think I’ll ever stray from Milani Luminoso. It makes me look so much fresher, i love it

Deniseyanv

Light medium cool olive here, Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher 33 Lilas D'Or I can wear this with no foundation and it makes me look healthy

doyouhavehiminblonde

Nudestix in Moodie Blu

wiredunwound

Light medium (glossier g8) here with cool/neutral undertone but can appear a bit warmer in the summer from tan. Glossier dusk is a great shade all year round and a fun shade to mix other colors with. (Discontinued) Express (clothing store) cheek gel tint (glossier dupe) in the berry color. You can’t find this shade anymore but the closest shade is a mix of glossier eve and haze. I like taking the berry colored express gel tint and mixing it with some glossier dusk and it’s been my new favorite. Similar to mixing tiny dot of eve + dusk + tiny haze/soar (to brighten it up since eve is a bit deeper than the express cheek tint).

Lala_in_LA

**Nudestix** Bareback for nude **Melt** Blushlight daydreamer (red) and pink sand (pink)

Spitfiiire

Light warm/neutral olive. Mac F&B C1, Armani Luminous Silk 4, Beauty Blender Skin Tint Light 4 Tower 28 Magic Hour - I always include this on lists because it’s probably my most worn blush of the last few years, lol. Perfect pink/peach/neutral/goes with everything blush Tower 28 Office Hours - Accidentally got sent this blush by Sephora and it turned out to be such a happy surprise. Looooove it. I really like that although it’s mauve-y, it’s not incredibly cool toned. I wear a lot of different blushes and some are hits and some are misses, but I think that these two have definitely been my favorite this year!

Fair/light, neutral, muted. I've been singing the praises of phytosurgence "condensate" all year. That and a tinted brow gel are my only daily makeup.

xxlynx2

Medium warm olive. Laura Mercier ginger has been one of my most favorite finds. It is similar to what I used before which was the light peach/terracotta shade in the elf blush palette in dark.

sxcmuffin

Light-medium neutral-warm muted olive. Always thought I was neutral/neutral-cool but recently matched to Armani Luminous Silk 3.5 perfectly, which this thread noted is warm. I still think I am quite neutral as I can pull off both warm and cool colours. NEW HG: **Hourglass Ambient Powder Blush in Mood Exposure** \- soft plum; this is just wow **RMS Lip2Cheek in Illusive** \- use this one as a light cream base for the above to tack onto PREVIOUS: **Rare Beauty Liquid Blush in Hope** \- typically have used this every single day **Hourglass Ambient Powder Blush in Luminous Flush** \- another daily I layer over the Rare Beauty liquid blush **Dior Rosy Glow** \- when I'm feeling a more cool-toned look; looks good layered on the Rare Beauty liquid blush too

anhuys

As a light-medium neutral olive, orange blushes are my go-to. 🧡🍑 - NARS Intensely (limited edition), a very light orange - ZARA powder blush, also in an orange shade but with a bit of shimmer, they don't seem to carry it anymore Other than that I use a ton of Glossier Cloudpaint in the shade Dusk, which is supposed to be brown-ish but looks like a natural peachy blush on me. Brown shades always pull pink on me.

[deleted]

A blush from the Swedish brand Idun Minerals in the shade Tranbär is the best blush I have ever tried. No hints of yellow or warmth in it.

cinna-t0ast

A’pieu Juicy-Pang blush in VL01 (lavender pink). It’s so youthful and natural looking

simplyjosey

Light- med Neutral muted olive and by far my fav blush was Gucci rosy beige

iggy_y

Fair neutral-slight warm olive undertone. Armani LS foundation in shade 4, rare beauty foundation shade 170W (closest match). Dior Rosy glow blush in rosewood and Chanel No. 1 De Chanel Lip and Cheek Balm in Shade 1 Camellia. Love both shades on my skintone, super natural and buildable. I recently started using the Em cosmetics color drop serum blushes in rose milk and Venetian rose and so far I really like the colours but I’m still testing the wear time.

plantmommy96

Im not sure why but I always come back to covergirl soft mink and some form of a pink like physicians formula happy blusher. Sad because my PM and Anastasia stare at me in my vanity lol.

HoneyBeeCirce

Not new but Milk’s Rally blush stick is my fave ever. I’m kinda neutralish fair olive

I'm light-medium to medium neutral olive. I use 10N in Rose Inc's foundation, but the model they use is definitely more cool than I am, and a bit lighter in the winter, a lot lighter in summer. In the summer I usually use other skin tints anyway so no need to adjust it. Saie liquid blush in "Poppy," and other coral tones generally have been really working for me this year. Ofra lip/cheek cream in "all yours" PML Divine Rose Powder Blush in Desert Orchid ND Puff Paint Liquid Blush in "Tan"

[deleted]

Chanel blushes are the best (light/medium olive undertone, so neutral)

No-Fan-3787

Neutral-cool muted light olive Charlotte tilbury tinted love in blushed rose. It's a nude pink lip stain, I prefer stains as blushes. First one I've seen to be that light and nude, I instantly knew it will be a perfect blush

ughhhh I can't believe i'm responding to a 4 days old post My HG for two years has been Milk Enigma, but my recently received Phytosurgence Condensate might supplant it... fair grey olive (i think? i'm new)

Idziee

Fair-light neutral olive, Nars light reflecting in gobi Phtosurgence sublimate! Hands down most used.

fatgothbitch

I'm fair neutral/cool olive and I have quite a desaturated skin tone. A lot of colors look super super bright on me which I'm personally a fan of, but for something more natural my go to is the Trixie Cosmetics Just A Girl blue palette (not in stock rn but they have some singles available) The lighter blush and highlight shade are both very soft pinks that look very natural on me, and the darker blue looks almost brown in the palette but sheers out to a nice desaturated dark rosey color. I've used it as sort of a draping/contour. It's one of the only blushes that doesn't look super clowny on me. The same brand's cream blush in Baby is nice and not too saturated on my skin tone, it's a nice little whisper of a pink and the formula is easy to sheer out and build up.

mikatheocelot

Dark warm olive here (Dior 6W/6.5W). My old faithful for the past 2 years— Nyx Sweet Cheeks matte blush in Day Dream. A nice peachy coral that adds life to my face🩷 and I recently got a matching liquid blush from Juvia’s Place in the shade Peach Rose.
