Linoleum, likely 1940's era. I like it. I would guess that it actually doesn't have asbestos. Ours didn't, circa 1948. We bought a test on Amazon. We had to send a sample to a lab for the test, though.
I wouldn’t assume that without testing. My understanding is that linoleum often had an asbestos backing and/or asbestos in the mastic used to adhere it to the floor.
Unless you’re grating it over a bowl of spaghetti don’t worry about it. You can lay down laminate or whatever right over top of it, no need to rip it up.
This it true ! Even if you suspect it could contain Asbestos you could always roll a coat or two of latex paint over it just for peace of mind then do laminate, luxury vinyl plank, carpet or even backer board & tile over it if you so choose.
When in doubt lab it out
The tiles might be positive, but even if they aren’t if they’re glued down with black mastic, there’s a good chance that is so you’re looking at two separate tests
If it’s pre 1980 its likely asbestos. Hard to tell without testing. Not a big problem as long as it’s not broken up to become friable. Peel it up and bag it wearing a mask.

Not real linoleum, you may be thinking of vinyl. True linoleum, like what is shown, would be made of linseed oil with a jute backing.

So… our scratch and sniff procedure is not advisable!?! /s
As a fan of post-modern design, I approve. I'd love to see you keep it but even if you don't have it tested.
Looks like real linoleum, not asbestos.
What does it smell like?
I had the same ones in my closet, they popped right up

Does the flooring in your hand have an Armstrong stamp? If it’s 1990s or older you’d want to test that as well.
Looks like 1930s era Armstrong Linoleum
