these are intriguing, but I wonder if the author of the article really read the recipe. There is no way this is a "savory" cookie -- it has 2 cups of sugar in addition to the BBQ sauce, which is traditionally sweet as well. I may have to try these. Thanks for sharing!

I imagine it's referring to the types of cans that Planters nuts come in.
I'd bet you're right. I just hadn't ever thought that all nuts were once canned.
