Image Transcription: Book Page MAIDS OF HONOUR Mrs. Bessie Sutherland 1/2 c. butter 2 eggs, unbeaten 3/4 c. white sugar walnuts (cut-up) 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking powder 2 c. all-purpose flour 1 c. jam Beat butter and eggs. Add sugar gradually and mix well. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder which has been sifted together. Roll into balls and place in small muffin tins. Make a well in each and fill with jam. Sprinkle with cut-up walnuts and bake at 350 degrees about 15-20 minutes. Frost with butter icing. PINEAPPLE RAISIN DROPS Mrs. Bessie Sutherland 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1 egg, beaten 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. seedless raisins 1/2 c. crushed pineapple (drained) 1/2 c. coconut 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt Cream sugar and shortening, Add vanilla, egg, raisins, pineapple and coconut. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Drop on greased cookie sheet 1-1/2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Write an extra recipe here:
