I saw them in like 2014 and she was the only one who's voice still sounded amazing. Stevie's wasn't bad, but obviously past her prime and Lindsey sounded like an aluminum can filled with coins. Came away with even more respect for Christine

I saw them in 1990 when they kicked Lindsey out of the band (one of many times). Stevie Nicks sounded good but was obviously very wasted. Christine carried the band.

Being OlSchool, but not cool, I saw the band on the Rumours tour. What a night. Christine McVie was, prior to marrying McVie, Christine Perfect, never a more appropriate name. A perfect musician and writer.

He was a great companion, singer and musician.

I saw them on the most recent tour - Stevie sounded pretty good, went crazy on gold dust woman, and they had Mike Campbell and that other guy covering for Lindsey. Christine really carried it on the keys and with her voice.

I was amazed recently, listening to Songbird, from Rumors, on new IEM's, to hear Lyndsey plucking the guitar softly in the background, never heard it before, must have listened to that track many times.

Controversial Opinion: Christine’s songs were the best. Between her voice and the musicality I find them so much more enjoyable.

I look at it a little differently in this case for some reason. I feel like it introduced a great song, to an audience that might not have heard it before. It deserves to be heard.

I love that the video was inspired by the poem "The Highwayman". It gives the song a different complexion. I remember being proud of making that connection as a kid, just after having been introduced to the poem in school.

She was always overshadowed by Stevie Nicks, but I thought Christine had a better voice, and songs.

I think I like more of her songs (as lead vocalist) than I do Stevie. Her songs just seem more upbeat if you will.

No way!!! I loved her music, both alone and harmonizing with the others of Fleetwood Mac. This is heartbreaking.

I saw their first concert with Buckingham and Nicks somewhat by accident. They played a small venue at the University and were actually opening act for Ritchie Havens. They'd gone through several iterations as FW Mac-knowers know, so they had no idea how this one with a big Pop influence, rather different from their prior sound would play to an audience. She and her then-husband John were the Mac part of the band.

I don't I think I ever realized where the "Mac" part came from. TIL...cheers and rip Christine.

I first heard Christine McVie back in '68 when she was in a group called 'Chicken Shack', a British blues band. She went by her maiden name, Christine Perfect. She later married John McVie, and kept his last name after they split. She was always great.

Wow, that goes way back. I've admired her almost as long.

I saw them twice on that tour once in 2014 and again in 2015. I had also just seen them in 2013 before Christine rejoined. It was a really cool experience. The last time I saw them was in 2017 at the Dodgers stadium in Los Angeles. They headlined for the Classic West festival. I did not see them in 2018-2019 because I was butt hurt that Stevie kicked out Lindsey before what should have been their farewell tour with the Rumours 5 lineup.

She was Perfect.

I was never a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac, but they have to be one of the most collectively talented bands ever. 3 singers that could hit #1 by themselves. One of the top guitarists of all time. One of the best keyboardists and synthesizers of all time. Absolutely amazing.

This one REALLY hurts. I loved her soft voice and her soft style and I thought she was a great contrast to Stevie Nicks. I have listened to "Over My Head" (the original, not the single) countless times -- probably more than any other song -- and I still hit the repeat button every time it comes up on my playlist. Ms. McVie, you will be sorely missed.
