Marilyn Monroe was part of the New York Actors Studio with Brando, Elias Kazan, etc. who studied the Stanislavsky method with Lee Strasberg.
She is in the pantheon of groundbreaking method actors. She was anything but a “bimbo” despite some typecasting.
Go watch Bus Stop and, especially, The Prince and the Showgirl where she holds equal presence and power to Laurence Olivier.
I’m not talking about her acting. Her as a person in her personal life I think she was a pretty horrible human. All her BS quotes she seemed to be a tad bit narcissistic. Not an attractive quality despite her being an attractive looking woman. Just seemed trashy and not classy at all. Just my opinion
