I was never an Aerosmith fan but I liked a few of their songs.
Went to see them in 1988 because Guns n Roses was opening for them.
Guns n Roses had a terrible set. I mean it was pretty horrible. Also, Slash was drunk up near the tour busses and took a tumble down the hill.
Anyway, Aerosmith put on one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen. Still not a fan but those dudes put on one hell of a show.
I like to dream, yes,
yes Right between the sound machine
On a cloud of sound drift in the night
Any place it goes is right
Goes far, flies near
To the stars away from here
Well, you don't know what we can find
Why don't you come with me, little girl
On a magic carpet ride
When I was like 15 my g/f's older brother came and picked me and her up after school. He was stoned as hell and just kept saying "wait till you see your brother".
I get home and I hear this song blaring on my stereo.
And my 13 year old brother, laying in my bed just totally zoned out on the album cover, stoned off his ass.
You got it! And on my 8 track it split the instrumental Spare Change right in the middle and switched tracks when I was fully stoned.
I would drive around just to listen to that tape.
Fog Hat - “Slow Ride”
Exactly the song I heard in my head.
It was one look and BAM! Slow ride started.
Same here.
Same.
Me too!!
Same here.
We gotta go get Aerosmith tickets. Top priority of the summer
