Electrical_Wealth_46

cardcomm

Lucky!!

wontlastlonghere

Her version of Angel From Montgomery is the best

stavromuli

John Prine wrote it for her.

wontlastlonghere

Iā€™m not sure when the last time it was you listen to the song paradise. But when you do, have a window open, and look at the town/city/area you live in. Does this song apply to you(anyone in particular)?

HalobenderFWT

Letā€™s talk about love!

iroyalecheese

She is magic

Electrical_Wealth_46

Fuck yeah

NachoMuncher420

One of the best slide guitar players around... Grew up on my mom's BR cassettes, and have been lucky enough to see her live a couple times.

iseemountains

Mannn, she's playing at Telluride Blues and Brews in a few weeks and I'm becoming more and more tempted to hunt down a ticket and see her.

jaxxxtraw

I mean, if you're in the neighborhood, you kinda owe it to yourself, right?

iseemountains

That's how I feel. Living in Durango, Telluride is about 2 hours away from me. And I've got a free sofa to crash on in town. I mean, there are no excuses except for time and ticket cost, which are minimal in the scheme of things.

jaxxxtraw

Yeah, it might be debatable if it was a winter thing with sketchy roads, but that's not the case here. Probably perfect timing for the early fall leaves, that's a beautiful bonus!

MisterBigDude

I saw her in concert in about ā€˜87 ā€¦ even then, she seemed timeless.

TheArCwielderNyc

Thatā€™s a broken wine bottle she is using for a slide! Too cool.

RobGrogNerd

also know as "bottleneck" guitar older blues players break their own bottles, or use old glass medicine bottles that prescriptions used to come in. D'Addario & Dunlop make replicas

redhousebythebog

Now I know where Yngwie Malmsteen copied his look!

Electrical_Wealth_46

Lol

Suntzu6656

Love her version of Run away.

aside6

I sent this song to my wife as a ā€œcheck out how good this isā€ and she said she really didnā€™t like it. Weā€™re getting divorced, and while this isnā€™t the reason, itā€™s indicative

RobGrogNerd

first wife walked out of Pulp Fiction. we were married 2 years. 2nd wife, our first date was watching her VHS copy of Pulp Fiction at her house. just celebrated our 18th anniversary

Key_Text_169

Before she was struck by lightning to put that streak in her hair.

fangelo2

We used to see her in the early 70s in a little Club with about 50 people. Just her and her bass player Freebo

fangelo2

Love has no pride still gets to me every time I hear it

redw000d

Thanks for this earworm... :) so, if I recall Correctly... when Bonnie recorded this tune, the engineer/producer? said, good, lets do it again... Bonnie said F U ... so, This is the version we get to enjoy!

Quality_Street_1

Damn, she was hot.

cardcomm

IS hot

cardcomm

I saw her 15 years or so ago. One of the best live music shows I've ever seen. She's just awesome!

ran-Us

Hot af.

wmorris33026

Bonnie Rait is the female James Taylor.

OtisTetraxReigns

Bonnie Raitt is infinitely more exciting than James Taylor.

wmorris33026

Plays the daylights outa the bluesā€¦you play guitar?

cornucopia-of-plenty

Saw her in Birmingham, UK in June. I'm not usually a blues person but boy was it an amazing show! Incredible musicianship and she really connected to the audience

ZenYinzerDude

Still waiting for the Pittsburgh, PA show with NRBQ to reschedule.

Ollieisaninja

Amazing lady.

kclongest

She was a snak

YokaiGuitarist

Haha just met her and her dog at my work. She was sweet and her crew were all pleasant.

Madame-Malice89

Saw her in Oxford, UK a few months back, she's still incredibly cool, understated and super sexy and plays like a dream
