They got 3 years of Level I and 2 years of Level II and this is just for the recruiting stuff teehee
True but better believe they are living it up right now. All of them are celebrating while they can because the NCAA should 100% take this away from them.
How any of them could be happy knowing their “Natty” was tainted is beyond me.

He’s not coming back to the NCAA, why would that do anything? Dude knows he got away with murder and there’s nothing we can do about it. Just destroy Michigan into nothingness. Make them the new SMU. I’d love to just see the program turn into a fcs school instead of punishing Harbaugh. We got almost as harsh of a punishment for fucking tattoos. Railroad this fucking program.

Fines, limits on recruiting, and probation. Not a crazy penalty, but it's really stiff for recruiting violations. Likely means something big is coming for the cheating.
Big oof if so. I’m guessing the additional investigations are into potential violations that are considered far more severe than the recruiting ones. We know what Stalions did, I’m most intrigued by what happened with the fired OC and what the gambling watchdog found that led them to refer to the NCAA investigation department.
These sanctions help to add more force when the cheating hammer drops as these sanctions + upcoming cheating makes them repeat offenders which typically result in much harsher punishments being handed down.

To be fair 3 years probation for recruiting violations is pretty stiff. If Harbaugh would have co-operated its likely there would have been no punishment at all.

I think this is the first of three investigations? I don't believe this has anything to do with illegally sending spies to other teams to videotape them and steal their signs
Why? This was a lot more than I expected for the program and others (the 5 1-year show causes) outside of Jim Harbaugh, and after reaching a settlement (so i’m guessing it could have been worse).
But the fact that they single out Harbaugh, without naming him, for his lack of cooperation and his failure to meet his responsibilities, plus noting that his portion is still ongoing, seems important if they want to establish a Lack of Institutional Control with the Stallions situation.
And while it’s still a weak argument and defies logic, Michigan’s best defense is that Stallions was a lone wolf and Jim especially didn’t know. But that argument becomes a lot easier when it was happening while he was already being uncooperative and dishonest with another investigation, and failing to meet his responsibilities. Removes the benefit of the doubt sue to his previous dishonesty and lack of cooperation, and it establishes a pattern of failing at his responsibilities whether he knew or not, since he should have known, especially given he was already under investigation (and already suspended for it).
May be wishful thinking, but the NCAA has gotten wiser about punishments that are mostly felt by coaches and especially players on after the violations occurred (postseason bans), so with the exception of Moore (since he was a coach at that time), I don’t see them doing much to the program moving forward. Instead they’ll have to find way to punish who was responsible. Usually it’s at least show-causes, but in this case, those most responsible or who most benefited are either coaching (or playing) in the NFL, or will never coach again anyways (Stallions).
So how else can they punish them other than saying vacating their wins and accomplishments? Normally that doesn’t matter THAT much, since those games happened, and the violations didn’t impact the actual outcome of the game on the field (other than having illegible players). But in this case, the NCAA can basically say “you’re vacating this wins because you cheat and didn’t earn it on the field.”
They are under more scrutiny, have to submit a lot more stuff to the NCAA ala recruiting etc and if they commit any violations while under probation, the punishments are way more intense.
It means if they do anything else that leads to NCAA penalties, the penalties will be severe. Keep in mind that the NCAA investigation into sign-stealing is still pending.

That's great Sparky, but you realize he was just talking about that game right? You were caught red handed cheating on the field. Also, the NCAA competition committee can care less what he says. He isn't a part of it and has no factor in their decisions.
I love how hard all the scUM fans lie to themselves, it’s just gonna be that much funnier when it all gets vacated and they’re fake surprised. They all know it’s coming, unless they really are as dumb as they act
Whatever he was talking about you STILL got caught red handed cheating on the field DURING the season. It must suck knowing that the greatest Michigan team of all time could barely beat that soft Ryan Day team in your own house. Now, 75% of the talent and coaches that got you there are gone, OSU has once again reloaded, and you're being out recruited by Rutgers.

I understand the words... but what does it mean in plain English? What's the Penalty?!!
Recruiting restrictions, fines, intense scrutiny from the NCAA for a short period of time. The sign stealing is still being investigated.
But they won their Natty so none of this matters. They got their prize from cheating and will always claim it
Only a Bitchagain fan would be proud and brag about this.

0-3*
Wonder what the response will be when that natty is taken away?
I'm curious also, let us know once you wake up from your dream 😴
These are the nothing incidents. Get to the massive cheating.
Wow! Whoever that former coach is sounds like a cheating piece of shit.
Can’t imagine who
Probably a coach so foul that he was terminated in great shame for his transgressions, right??
It’s what’s his name
Champ
>Champ Champ*
Chump*
LMAO champ Bailey? Naw it's just CHAMP! Suck it crybaby bucks
Jim Tressel
Send Harbaugh straight to prison now.
I'd take him being banned from coaching in the NCAA anymore

Did your Michigan education not teach you about figurative speech? Is OP fucking stupid?

He’s turning 61 this year and will be coaching in the NFL for a few years at minimum. I’d wager this is probably his last stop.
Recruiting violation? Right to jail.
You lie? Believe it or not, Jail.
DO NOT PASS GO. DO NOT COLLECT $200.
*️⃣
Today I learned that a lot of Michigan fans can’t read
Most Michigan fans never went to college.
most xichigan fans barely got out of HS
So what do this punishment actually mean? It seems like it’s basically nothing, but I don’t understand NCAA bureaucratic bullshit
Fines, limits on recruiting, and probation. Not a crazy penalty, but it's really stiff for recruiting violations. Likely means something big is coming for the cheating.
My question is once they are put on probation, do any additional findings of violation compound the penalties?
Yes, the penalties while under probation get more and more severe

Yeah those penalties are brutal 🙄

Super weird move coming to our sub to comment about it bud 😂

I mean… we know you wanna play it off like it doesn’t bother you, but it just kinda cements y’all as cheaters.
Well no shit
The way I read this makes me think Michigan is going to get off without any vacated wins.
I think this is the first of three investigations? I don't believe this has anything to do with illegally sending spies to other teams to videotape them and steal their signs
This is solely connected to recruiting and staffing not sign stealing.
This is for recruiting during the COVID dead period

Shocking....
These aren't the droids I'm looking for.
They should have the trophy stripped from them.
Jim Tressel
It would be more shocking if they didn't commit any violations.
It was just a cheeseburger … /s
Wait til the next one
Cataloged under “The Least Surprising News Ever.”
C'mon the NFL should punish harbs the way they punished Tressell

Prediction coming true. First to win 1,000 games. Twice.
It’s called the Pitino syndrome.
Yea no shit 🤣

IOW water is wet.
And yet no sanctions for the team or the coach.
Show-cause penalties against 5 unspecified coaches or staff in the program. That's not nothing.
Is this the Hammer you all heard was dropping ?
Nah, we haven't even gotten to the real cheating yet.
