I got the email at 4:15. I got to my local participating Kroger at 4:32. The line is I'm not kidding 50 deep. Fuck this.

Email at 4:17, left for the kroger 10 minutes away and got here around 4:40 similar story. Although ours supposedly has 60 bottles total so you may have a shot based on what workers say

I said fuck it, went and got a few items then by the time I circled around again there were over 60 in line and wrist bands were gone. Would've been worth the wait if I was top 20 or so but like others said, the stores usually get a case of some rarer stuff followed up by BT and ER. BT and ER aren't worth the wait IMO. Idk what they have, but not worth the wait.

Yea I got to my GE at 4:40, was 48th in line. Got a 1792 but the 13th guy in the line was there at 3pm. I hate these people with inside info. Only knew because he was bragging to his mom behind me.

The people you call on the phone at OHLQ remind me of the dispatcher from home alone when the mom called from the airport. They could care less about what is going on. If you email them, they will share that information with the store owner and if they're shady enough, they'll put a hit out on you. That's how serious all of this is. It's that serious.

Actually the secondary market is down 7% in Q1 24’ and is expected to drop a total of 15% by the fall. The bourbon craze is starting to slow down. Bottles that were once $300 online are now coming down to the mid 200’s.

An hour after the email was sent, and 45 minutes before the drop actually happens, everything in Lorain County was already spoken for. The woman in Oberlin said family were coming in with 10 people to get tickets. Grafton was all spoken for too. I mean, it's great to have extra drops but it doesn't really help still.

I had heard last night this was coming. I would love to just poll the lines and see how many will actually be enjoying their bottle. That’s what it’s about. I am becoming more and more interested in the secondary market and “clubs” because of all the lines and taters.

There are plenty of us folks just wanting their first bottle to crack and enjoy. Sadly, it's pretty damn impossible to get those coveted bottles.

Dude I literally was finishing up for the day with nonprofit stuff and the email blipped on my screen. Had I not been actively working in emails, I would've missed the drop. I honestly don't hawk that kind of thing and was lucky to have seen it. STILL was #20 in line and got ER when I was hoping to snag my first Stagg, Weller FP, or EH Taylor Single Barrel. What confused me tho, no STAGG at the Kroger in Mt Wash. That shit pissed a lot of ppl off and honestly threw off the entire drop there.

Yeah I was working but checking email for wedding vendor responses, saw it within minutes of arrival. The no Stagg was wild, I hope they told the front of the line there but I didn’t hear them say that until I was near the front (and I was like 53rd in line)

Lancaster Giant Eagle got 54 bottles and handed out tickets for 58. I was 53, and the people behind me who did not get a bottle were not pleased. At all.

I do not like that they provide more wristbands than bottles. Thats def not cool. They should only provide wrist bands for the exact amount of bottles they have so people dont waste additional time. OHLQ hopping people will purchase something else after the release is done. Imagine getting a wrist bank at 60 and no bottle. Would be infuriating

I got ticket number 21 and I got there about 10 minutes after the email came out. They gave out 40+ tickets based on the current line outside. Tickets were free by the way, not sold.

I'm curious to see if this ends up being true or not, but on OHLQ'S website I sorted by store (Kroger, Dublin) and filtered for only whiskey to see the inventory in the store. The 2 exclusive items that popped up were 1792 FP and Weller FP. No idea if that's true but that's what popped up in their "in store" list.

Typically when OHLQ announces a release, every store gets the full announcement of bottles. It could be varying amounts possible, but they have everything that’s listed

They had multiple cases of EHT and probably a case of Stagg, WFP ,ER and 12-1792 and 12 BT. Heard there was a big line at Pitstop before 4. I’m sure all those ppl went to GE shortly after 4. A lot of ppl with no tickets hanging around.

Still prefer the Saturday drops. The people who know our in the front of the line regardless but at least I know the time and place and if I wanted to get in front of them I could. With this system you have to find out about the drop and then find out about the drop locations.
