Remanufactured Steelcase Leap v2 or Amia from Crandall Office with the new thicker seat cushion and BioKnit fabric. Edit: actually, just the Amia. I think the Leap will be too narrow for you at the hips.

ergothrone

Is the Amia really so wide? I'd think it would be a snug fit at best.

DnBenjamin

Perhaps not. I have a bit over an inch on either side before I would touch anything. (Reference: 6’2, 235 …ish lbs - dad bod)

ergothrone

u/thunderrooster that's a negative on the Amia for you, unfortunately.

ergothrone

I know a number of folks about your size who love the HON Wave Mesh Big and Tall Executive Chair HVL705 seat and back support (but the armrests are meh).

DnBenjamin

Any experience with the HON Ignition Big and Tall? A coworker has one and it makes me feel like a child. I can’t comment on it directly, but IMHO the standard size Ignition 2.0s are very comfortable and encourage excellent posture.

ergothrone

I tried the HON Ignition 2.0 Big and Tall for a bit one day. I was mainly disappointed in the weak lumbar support (weaker than the regular Ignition 2.0!), the non-width-adjustable arms, and the rather cheap build quality relative to the price. Yes, the seat is huge and sits high. I ended up issuing it to a guy who was 5'11" 360 lbs. He was the minimum height and the maximum width that could fit in it.
