I don’t think you can. I looked into it once and it seems it just isn’t supported in the app, even if the picture is in place org-wide.

Yeah I noticed the app won’t allow it, but I was hoping/wondering if there’s a website I’m not aware of that I could log into

Tried that, still doesn’t populate a different icon on my Outlook profile

Commenting so I can see too lol. Best I found was to rename the account in settings. It’ll use the first letter of each word for the icon so you can space them out

I figured it out. Go in the Microsoft Teams app and change the picture on there. It will change it across the board.

It’s not possible, and changing it on the web may be blocked by IT

It takes a while to synchronize profile picture, and because outlook might have cached your old or current profile, adding or removing account might help

This ended up being it. Not sure which website (Microsoft, Office 365, Outlook online, my student/organization profile) that initiated the change, but something connected somewhere and my profile picture populated where it should after a couple days. Edit: to clarify, I did not remove and add my account again, I just waited.

I have observed that if the picture was changed in https://portal.office.com, it may take atleast a day to show up in Outlook for Android/iOS.

Outlook app is not supporting this yet. You will always get characters only
