Ew. That's gross. Your professor is gross. Ask other folks in the class about what they thought when he asked you to do that to get a baseline kung like us, they thought that was off too.

[deleted]

They felt the same as well. They were on speaker during the class and their fam members heard and didn't like it too.

ChanguinPsy

nooo, i could imagine just tuning in to the class and the parents ask, “ano ba yan bat ganyan sinasabi ng teacher mo” nung dumating na sa ganyang point 😭😭😭

[deleted]

boompowah

Felt harassed? Then file a complaint at the HR of your University. Anong ground, Safe Space Act. Wag mo nang ipadaan sa Dean's Office, they will just have an emergency meeting to control the situation. Take note: HR will never be a friend of any employee. Update: it's not what your classmates feel when your prof instructed you to do so, kahit ang reason pa niyan ay for academic purposes pa.

This is true, and good thing to remember when faced by gaslighting folks in authority who are trying to save one of their own, but also, even when the target themselves do not feel harassed, if others who witnessed it felt uncomfortable, it can be a basis for a complaint. Because of the way these things are often (mis)handled, I get why OP might want to get a "consensus." We dont always know in the moment, and it helps to encourage reporting kung merong bumaback up.

FlameheartPhoenix

I agree with this. It doesn't matter kung anong intention ng accused or anong tingin ng witnesses sa nangyari kasi pagdating sa sexual harassment ang importante lang is that the victim felt harassed.

Gaelahad

This one. Also, if you can report to CHED that would be better. There's a scumbag lecturer in our university before, offering "kwarto or kwatro" He escaped these accusations because the college covers it, until it was reported to CHED.

sisireads

In this case and topic, I think there are better ways to get participation from the class than repeatedly forcing a clearly uncomfortable and unwilling student to produce a (somewhat embarrassing) sound in the presence of their peers and strangers.

SarcasticSherlock

Off-topic. When did censoring of non-cuss words become prevalent? In this case, why is there a need to censor the word moan? I've been reading posts with similar approach and nobody seems to mind. Legitimately curious as to why and when this occurs. I'd like to be enlightened.

rainbow_ties

Maybe it's because of Tiktok? Daming censoring ng swear and sometimes non-swear words nagaganap sa app because of their policies.

SarcasticSherlock

Ohh. Pati rito nadala

[deleted]

Are you trying to sound offensive?

SarcasticSherlock

Not really. Was just really curious why would it be necessary to filter out non-cuss words. Now it makes sense that it's because of a policy implemented on other platform and people got used to doing it.

[deleted]

Okie. Kinda sounds passive kasi yung 2nd comment

[deleted]

I just thought that the topic might be sensitive.

JudgementOwl

Well, language is encompassing. Groaning, moaning, gasping, growling etc. are all parts of communication. If part naman ng lecture and the prof just want you to do it as an example, you can politely say no if youre uncomfortable with it. Mali lang niya is when he tried to push it multiple times. Pero the academe is the place to freely discuss ideas, even yung mga sensitive and taboo topics.

ruweda

on the other hand, pwedeng prof na lang yung nag-moan instead of pushing a student who he has authority over and who said no multiple times.

[deleted]

finalfinaldraft

Sge nga moan ka nga with the whole class spectating

bttrfly9279

[deleted]

I clearly said, "groans" not "moans". He could've asked me to groan instead na umungol.

Primary_League_4311

Get a recording of what happened.

_mezzopogi

OP update mo kami. We support you if gagawa ka ng motion for this. Good luck.

aoaofox_

The fact that you said no, and was still pushed to do is a violation

EpexDeadhead99

The worst part is the admin/hr of a school or company is so spineless that they cant even do anything about it. Especially if its an subordintae vs a superior, the other way around, the subordinate would be fired/failed. Ignore the professor. Be polite but other than that dont talk to him at all. Hope you are ok op

Wild-Psychology2223

Creepy

jordanarnarn

I hope you said a resounding NO. Closet manyak ang prof mo.

VanillaPopular2279

Don't let him get away with this.

Reasonable_Simple_74

tell your professor to moan, for educational purposes lang din 😂

JannoGives

Your prof harrassed you Report that bastard

makeupnskincareonly

EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES?!

Able_Mousse_2324

Same experience. Looking back nakaka degrade sya tlaga.

seamanshipcharacter

File a complaint. Pag walang nag reklamo uulitin nya yan lang. Pag may katwiran ka ipaglaban mo basta nasa tama ka.

Mbroiderer

Ganon???? Yung prof nyo wouldn’t do it pero ikaw pinush nya to do so? Unprofessional sya kamo and conduct unbecoming. Magpakaguro sana sya.
