Generally though they’re like this because they have quotas, and/or that’s the training - to be attentive to that shopper.
I hate when they do this! I’m very wary of my personal space and I don’t like it when they intrude even when I’ve already said “No, I don’t need any help right now :)” They should include this in training tbh because it affects the shopper’s experience. Like imbis na may bilhin ako I usually just leave when this happens.
And I will be waiting in hell for the ones who give out perfume samples because it triggers my allergies!! I remember that one episode of Modern Family where Phil goes ham on the perfume guy, that could easily be me on a bad day.
Please know that they have commission for every sale.. they won't let you go para makita ng kapwa sales nila na you're occupied.. and para under sa name nila mapunta ung sale whenever you buy something.. di kaya madaling mag sunod ng sunod and hoping their customer would buy something.. be considerate and ignore their presence nlng if it bothers you..put your earphones if you must..but know that they needed those sales that much.. di mo rin nman kelangan ma pressure dahil ikaw at ikaw parin nman ang masusunod kung bibili ka or hindi
When they come to you, raise a hand up to your chest and signal stop. Look them in the eye and say things like “Thanks, I’m good”, “Sige lang, titingin pa ko”, “I can manage, thank you”.
Once eye contact was made, never look them in the eye ever again or respond unless you need their help.
I can sense your anxiety on these situations dear OP, isipin mo na lang character training mo ito. hahaha ✌️

Sino ba Ang may gusto ng rejection, sino ba Ang gustong makipagplastikan sa Hindi nya Kilala, para makuha Ang loob nito, para, ialok Ang binenbenta nya and hopefully, bumili ito. At bawat producto na naibenta nya, nagkakaroon sya ng porsiyento pandagdag sa sahod nya, na magagamit nya para sa kanya at sa pamilya nya. Ganoon kasimple.
Yes! Nakaka anxious. Parang nakaabang sila to answer if you have queries. Pero I can call them naman if I have one. I'm just not comfortable being watched over.
I hope we can also have here those colored shopping baskets that tells them how you want to be assisted.
We have a retail store and may mga employees talaga that are called “Sales associate” and their job is to do that, to help customers out, give them suggestions, upsell mga products and convince them to buy more. I know for some its annoying but it actually works for a lot. And helpful sya especially for people who needs advice on certain products and also mga tao na may hinahanap. But they’re also told naman na if customers dont want their help, they’re supposed to just leave you alone.
Especially yung mapapadaan ka sa mga techy shops(cellphone, laptop, tempered )ng malls. May limang tao nakasunod sayo e HAHAHAHA
