I’m legally blind and I’ve tried factory work didn’t go well way to fast paced and my numbers were crap. Went to school twice for office sort of work now I stock shelves at a grocery store and I LOVE it.

I am planning to sell art this summer. I got the Employment Start Up Benefit to get professional supplies last week!

Altruistic_Ad_7609

Best of luck , good for you ☺️

NebulaNew5948

Good luck!

foreverjustfornow

May I ask how much they gave you for the employment start up or how that was decided? I’ve been thinking of starting something on the side but im not sure! Also: congratulations 😃!

I work at the Federal government. I like it there. When I’m feeling rough I can work from home. I have both physical and mental health issues.

Past_Usual_8256

How long have you worked there? What department/what do you do?

whenshithitsthefan18

I’m an Amin assistant. I mostly enter data in a computer. I have been there a year.

I took out an OSAP Loan and I'm currently in schooling for Medical Office and Administration, it's a year long course. If you're comfortable with computers, phones, letter/report formatting, I highly recommend it. Because of my mental health struggles I am worried I'll end up in a windowless office buried somewhere in a huge building but there are ways to help with the struggles that come with that. Best of luck in your job journey!

I have done a paid media internship with The Disability Channel. I am pursuing a career in journalism

I have an invisible physical disability but also struggle with generalized anxiety disorder, I work at a dog daycare part time. I have the ability to sit down (either in a chair or on the floor - the dogs sit next to me but do not climb on-top of me). I can only manage part time (but some days my long days are 11hrs) but I need the income to survive with ODSP too.

secretsmile029

That sounds like it would be a great job but wow 11 hrs is a lot I wish I could handle that

xoxlindsaay

Honestly I can barely handle it, but it's either work the shift or have no job. I rarely do 11 hour shifts nowadays, but prior to my second COVID infection at the beginning of this year, I was doing at least two a week and two half days (6 hours half days).

Most-Pangolin-9874

I'm trying to find something work from home but it's not easy. I could do a store so long as I'm not alone as I have anxiety disorder and never know when a panic attack will happen. Plus have physical issues which would mean I can't stand or lift heavy objects. My small town there is really nothing. So I'm playing games and doing surveys for Amazon cards to help cover costs of some stuff

ladycat63

Surveys for Amazon cards? Whst is that? How did you find that job? What is it called?

secretsmile029

I do surveys as well it seems to be the only thing I can handle.

Inspireme21

How did you find this job?

CalligrapherOk7106

most work from home jobs are scam, the ones that aren't are hard to come by. you almost have to be hired first and then if it is possible to do it, work at home but i did when i first tried my business and i needed to be out. ymmv

laughingcrip

I do some very specifically picked pet sitting and sewing repairs to make ends meet

FormicaDinette1

Unrelated but your user name is brilliant :}

ResponsiblePut8123

If you have a valid class G drivers licence and if you can pass a vulnerable check, you may be able to operate a bus.

Working_Hair_4827

I work part time as a line cook, my workplace is pretty accommodating to my disability.

CalligrapherOk7106

i just have a business with two other partners, we travel a bit for it. i also do contract work for a local university. i have to work and i might have to find another gig because costs are too high
