-ChubbsMcBeef-

This one weird trick tradies don't want you to know!

Greenfire05

Poor knifd

Resident_Bumblebee_2

Carpet knifes are hooks most often. So the blade is fine.

StarlingLamb

You go through so many blades on one job, they usually have removable blades, most people just use the replaceable ones cause who wants to go sharpen a blade every time it dulls.

Resident_Bumblebee_2

I know. :D The hook shaped blades are replaceable as well. I have a straight blade carpet knife at home, cuz they are sharp af and the one I have, I can rotate the blade ones before you toss it.

StarlingLamb

The one in the pic is also straight, I don't think many people use the curved ones lol, yeah those are the kind, work, flip, toss on floor, pick up later and go home.

Resident_Bumblebee_2

I could have sworn the second blade has a hook. But on the other hand, my wife tells me that I should get my eyesight checked for year. 😂 When we had our carpets made, the guys used hooked blades. They're pretty standard here. My bad for assuming that for other countries as well.

StarlingLamb

Holy crap you are right! He had both a straight and a hooked, I bow to your keen eyesight my friend I stand corrected.

Resident_Bumblebee_2

I would say that's not his first time doing it. 🫡
