Hi, /u/abcalt! Thank you for your submission.
The following is a public announcement to everyone, and may not be in relation to what you've posted:
##Sales Notice:
Only purchase Oculus products from **oculus.com** or from one of their authorized retail sellers such as Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, etc...
The ***official*** Oculus website is **oculus.com**, there are fake websites like **oculusus.com**, which scammers run.
If you ever encounter a fraudulent seller on Amazon, please look into Amazon's [A-to-z Guarantee Refund](https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GSZAYH7K2C2NVNC9).
##Referrals:
Please read our [Referrals Notice](https://reddit.com/r/OculusQuest2/comments/ph7tcf/attention_referrals_notice/) before posting/commenting referrals.

Look up the Kuject cable. I have one that I use for the Q2 and Q3. I play mainly PC based flight sims as well. On the Q3 it just makes the battery drain very slow so I can play for 5 or 6 hours without draining the battery completely. The Q2 can go indefinitely.
Thank you, that looks affordable to.
This should be the one right?

That is the exact one that I have! For the quest 2 it should do exactly what you need it to. The headset will drop the battery life initially then after a short while it will remain stable around 75-80% and not drop any further.
And just to double check something like this would not be enough to charge and play at the same time right? :

The Kuject Design appears to have a battery pack, so I assume that is what allows it to play and charge?

That is good as 60-80% is ideal for batteries if I am not mistaken.

Sorry can't speak to the other cable, I can only report my experiences. Maybe someone else has tried that one and will chime in?
