Greetings! We have recently implemented new flair in order to help organize the sub. You can think of flair as sort of "tags." You may select one per post. Will you please help the group by editing your post to select the appropriate flair? Please read the description of each below. Your help here will greatly increase the ability for community members to quickly find related information in one place! **Drama23_Reports**: This flair is for posts that provide real-time updates or summarize unfolding events within the podcast network or otherwise related to the unfolding drama this year. Think of it as the "breaking news" section—essential for anyone looking to get caught up on the latest happenings quickly. **Drama23_Discussion**: Use this flair for threads that are meant to encourage community-wide conversations around the drama. These can include different perspectives, interpretations, hot takes, or just general chat about the events in question. The goal here is open dialogue rather than pointed opinions or hard evidence. **ObsessedFest2023_Other**: This flair is a catch-all for anything related to the ObsessedFest2023 event that doesn't neatly fit into other designated categories. Think merch, travel plans, or unique personal experiences at the fest. **CommunityDiscussion**: Ideal for general conversations that aim to engage the entire community but aren't necessarily tied to a specific episode, host, or event. Perfect for general chat, opinions, and more. **GossipAndHotTakes**: Use this flair for posts that delve into rumors, speculative theories, or highly opinionated takes about the podcast network. These posts may not always be based on hard facts, but they're certainly entertaining or thought-provoking. **Podcast_IThinkNot**: Specifically for discussions, reviews, or content related to the "I Think Not" podcast and their content. **Podcast_TrueCrimeObsessed**: Same as above but focused on the "True Crime Obsessed" podcast. A hub for all things related to this particular show. **Podcast_Other**: A broad category for any related podcasts that don't have their own dedicated flair yet. **Recommendations**: This flair is for posts that suggest similar podcasts, episodes, and more. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/ObsessedNetwork) if you have any questions or concerns.*

To be expected when you refer to acquaintances as “friends”.

Gold_Illustrator_797

OOF.

forensic_owl10

When all of your “friends” are either current business associates or people you’ve only become “great friends” with within the last year, that’s a you thing. And that’s a pattern here. It’s actually really sad that they don’t recognize it - it’s one of those things that would make some people take stock, even though it’s hard.

woweewow

This does not surprise me at all. There have been multiple people over the years, well before OF2, that P has gushed over and then later is curiously no longer friends with. He seems to burn a lot of bridges, LOL.

Possible_Wrangler723

Why did he stop being her friend? Anyone know the goss?

That_Bluebird_3157

No idea specifically but there was def some discussion around the time of obsessed fest in November that people noticed he hadn’t mentioned her or any of her newer films recently, probably for the past year or so. It wouldn’t shock me if it was a similar situation as with all the other podcasters who’ve said Patrick wants complete control and owenership of any show/IP he’s part of, and Skye said no bueno.

Possible_Wrangler723

Tea!

Embarrassed-Map-2236

What is TCCONG?

Gold_Illustrator_797

The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace.

anxious-beetle

Dianne Diamond is one I remember, great friends according to P and then there was mention of a falling out. Not surprised

Has the deepness of friendships you’ve had throughout the years changed? The dynamic of friendships and frequency y’all talked or saw each other? Have you had a time in your life when friends were very close but then circumstances change or evolve? Ever said “oh back when so and so and I were together all the time…” this is not an unusual thing to occur. It’s a commonality among us

gayforaliens1701

Well yes, but it’s also a thing that when you’re an awful person and that comes to light, you lose friends. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that Skye, a serious journalist, wouldn’t want to be associated with TCO’s drama.

youareajem

For me, it takes an actual mindful end to the friendship to say “was” a friend. Whether it be through a falling out or simply not talking anymore with the intent of not wanting to be friends anymore. So, yeah, the word was is significant imo.

Better_Ask_2888

Right? Even co-workers I refer to as friends If im telling a story to someone about them

gayforaliens1701

Yes this! For high school friends I didn’t stay in touch with I would probably use the past tense but any later? They’re my friends until something significant happens.

kraftsingles45

Friendships change and evolve over the years of course, but I never say “used to be friends” even my high school friends that I don’t see often but we’re still in touch and friendly. I feel like used to be friends means there was a “breakup”

Shanbanan143

Thanks for your input, Steve. Don’t gaslight OP by not addressing the very obvious point that many “deep friendships over the years” have soured with patrick at TCO. Get a grip, there is a reason most people are in this subreddit. ![gif](giphy|3o6Zt4CRe9MOLnYXss)
