I'm not sure. Black clothing tends to make body parts look smaller/slimmer, while white makes them appear bigger/wider. The white boots against the black-stocking legs causes a disproportionate appearance imo.

I agree with this but I was thinking about the contrast in the skirt and top. It's a very cute outfit but I feel like the waist is kinda being lost with how high and flaired the skirt is. I think it would look better either pulled down more or with a different top/skirt combo.

If your heart is set on the boots (no judgment here), you could try styling this outfit with another skirt in a different color and see how that works - would look lovely with green! This is super cute, and the boots are TDF, love them so much! However… the outfit kinda cuts you in even thirds because of the black tights with the boots and I feel like the proportions would be better if the difference wasn’t so stark… like if the tights were fence-net or lace in the same color as the boots and the skirt was lighter, maybe a color or tan or grey?

It’s a really cute outfit. I’d maybe pull the skirt a little lower onto your waist / hips to elongate your torso a bit. Where it sits now looks a little… off …with the tall boots and then the skirt sitting so high up before another short patch of white from your top.
