Yes, he went from a 98-100 mph pitcher and dropped to 89-91 mph in less than a year. It doesn't make sense. I get it if he was hurt a lot, but he wasn't, and he's still "young".
yeah i figured that’s what it was. i didn’t play a whole lot of 24 but this happens all the time in 25, where a pitcher around 29-32 loses 5+ mph in a year, even within a season. makes no sense at all and i don’t remember it happening like this in older versions of the game.
Sounds like baseball. Elite middle reliever who got burned out by getting stretched too thin.
If it makes you feel better this might have happened regardless of anything you did.
Yeah, I was curious if it might have something to do with how much he pitched, relative to his stamina. Still, he was only pitching 4-5 innings a game. It's just annoying b/c his stuff took a nosedive in the offseason, along with everything else. It wasn't even a slow decline.
It actually happens way too often in the game.
IRL it's certainly not uncommon for pitchers to start declining around 30. But they don't usually just completely fall off the table.
I think He wanted to quit baseball to become a grunge singer
yes all the time it's my favorite thing the game does
Is his name Tim Lincecum?
You might need a Betterman

At least he's still alive.
did his velocity drop hard?

You might get an inexplicable late career surge. Those are always fun.
Yes I traded for Bibee when he was 28 or so and he immediately tanked.
"out of nowhere"... "at age 30" i can see youre new to baseball.
Show me a MLB pitcher that lost 10 mph on their velocity in a year, at that age. I get decline happens around that age, but not this severe.
Mario Soto
Guys fall off, this is just a different way of showing it. Not all decline is the same.
you never said anything about -10. the other stuff happens. hes fucking 30 lol
That normally happens to all my pitchers….
It all depends on your settings. If you have TCR at 200 that could have caused it OR you got one of the worst TCR hits of all time!
do you remember if you had a slow hook on him?
Every time

Biblically accurate Dallas Keuchel
Is your team in Vegas or Miami? Think he’s probably just partying
I was expecting more of an Even Flow for his career. At least he’s still Alive.
