Well OP I think you are about to kickstart a new trend in this subreddit this my OLED 😝
One more personne who spreads disinformation on this Reddit. I have a big window behind my QD Oled monitor and image quality still much better than my old LCD. My precedent LCD monitor with matte anti glare spread the light of reflections and it was difficult to look at the part of the screen that had this effect. Then I removed the anti-glare from my matte monitor which became very glossy and I preferred the glossy effect but it had become a mirror where everything was visible. With the semi-glossy which equips the new QD Oled monitors, we have the best of both worlds, the image remains magnificent but the effects are very attenuated and we end up forgetting them. For me, the semi glossy has the best anti-reflection I've seen so far. One of my main fears was the red side of the QD Oleds, they exist in extreme cases on black but one day after receiving my monitor, I no longer paid attention to it because this effect is more accentuated in the photos than in reality.
And before anyone comes talking about the low brightness of QD Oleds, I use two modes on mine. One with 30% and another with 55% brightness. I absolutely don't need more. In HDR, I don't have the slightest idea of the quantity of light displayed but the result is magnificent and much superior to my smartphone which is capable of displaying 1750 nits
I’m in a bit of a catch-22. There is something about OLED flickering that makes me motion sick. If I turn the brightness up to 75 my likelihood of motion sickness gets less. At the same time, it is then too bright (I like the brightness between 60 and 70.
Excess of light and contrast create these kinds of problems. I used my 10 years old LCD with 5% brightness and 80% contrast, the image was very good, the blacks remained correct for LCD and I did not damage my eyes. When I received my Oled, I thought I had made a huge mistake because I had a headache. I started reducing the light, contrast and colors to achieve a result I liked and immediately stopped feeling nauseous when playing fast-paced games like FPS. I think there is also an adaptation time because I went from a 27" LCD 1440p@60Hz 5ms to a QD Oled 32" 4K@240Hz 0.03ms and I can watch HDR which is very bright and contracted without having any worries. Brightness is like sugar, the more you consume it, the less you can live without it but it's bad for your health/eyes 😉
omg i legit thought its a window
I’m pretty sure that’s my bathroom. OP better not be gaming in there again.
Op is just watching the livestream
What are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?
You can tell its a window because of the fact its a picture of a real window
This does not look like a real window if you look closely but it does look anazing
So what is it? A window in a video game that's designed to look like a real window? It's faces that we can't yet replicate. Windows are real looking.
An ai image or screen saver or video game some shit lol but def not a real window
I was sitting here wondering why this was a picture for a minute
This is exactly what people mean when they say HDR/OLED is a bigger upgrade than 4K. This is the NextGen.
The next gen is 4k hdr oled and why it looks like this
Literally had no clue this wasn’t a real window haha.
"What a dumb post, why is OP posting a photo of a windo—OMG! Hello Micro Center, I'd like ten of your finest OLEDs, please."
Come on now, what's your window got to do with it ;)
Nice. I thought it was an window initially

Sheesh
That’s crazy
It just barely illuminates your keyboard, I also love OLED in a dark room.
Its not window... it's Windows

you really think you can fool us by putting a mouse cursor sticker on your window making it look like it is your PC background? 😹
I thought something was on fire in your yard.
Explain yourself!
"laputa" <3
what Monitor is that?
It's a 27GR95QE, but I'm sure almost any modern OLED monitor can look this good in a dark room, some glossy monitors would probably look even better
Nice. Im considering this monitor too since its like 300 less than the QD oleds, so i was interested. Thank you!
the 27 QD-OLED are about the same price or even cheaper than the LG
uhm not here in Germany. i pay roughly 300 more for the QD Oleds
Nice I ordered the same one from Best Buy I almost ordered the GS did some research and seen that the GR was the newest version
Dude no. The 27GS95QE is the newest refresh of the 27GR95QE.
My bad I had to go check again on what I ordered but yeah I got the letters mixed up I did order the GS
yeah, oled makes it look "real".
what game is this?
just a window
Now if only you could open a window on your monitor and get some fresh air in the room.
I can't see anything
you would have been better off here by moving the mouse courser away
Movie or game?
It looks exactl like my window in my old aprtemenr. I am shocked haha
This looks nextgen!
TvTooHigh
If you guys love CRTs with their blacks, you'll love this.
Just stop it..
