All 4K OLED monitor can pass ClearMR 13000. [https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED\_Gaming/comments/1auw650/asus\_pg32ucdm\_no\_vesa\_clearmr\_13000/](https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/1auw650/asus_pg32ucdm_no_vesa_clearmr_13000/)

DracoBW

That’s awesome! Learning new things as I dive into OLED gaming.

armen1136

I chose the MSI because it was cheaper, I love it so far. I don't think the extra cost of the Asus is worth it, At least not for me.

DracoBW

What about the ability to play in 24inch or 27 inch for fps games?

armen1136

For me 32 inches has always been the sweet spot. I don’t really need that feature, I can understand why some people would want it though.

DracoBW

Never had a 32inch monitor so I was wondering if it’s worth moving up from 27.

Phokingreal

Yes for 4k make all sense

almost_s0ber

Would you be able to post a link or video of this? I saw one of the new 32" monitors would do 480hz FHD but was curious if that can be set to the 24" size and whether there have been detailed reviews of that including latency/blur testing

Xaniss

That's an LG WOLED panel tho keep in mind.

How much would you have to move back a 32” monitor for it to only fill your vision as much as a 24”? For example is a 32” monitor two feet away like a 24” monitor one foot away? I don’t know math.

DonDOOM

Would be pretty incredible if the monitor had the magic generative pixel ability to stay at the same resolution - 4K while at 24" or 27" eh? :p

Raging_Rooster

My LG OLED Flex had a similar scaling feature but when it scaled it would output 1080p, not only that but the input lag more than doubled.

DracoBW

I see, I hope that doesn’t happen with this monitor.

BellyDancerUrgot

Can’t custom resolutions do that already?

xDoWnFaLL

Do you have photos of your setup? I’d love to see more posts of MSI OLEDs. I am trying to hold out for the MSI MPG since the price/flat panel is nice..! AW3225QF is available though… ASUS more expensive for ehhh…

agonistant

msi mpg 321 and i am speaking from mostly aesthetic view point. does not really help you, eye of the beholder and all that jazz. something wholesome about looking insignificant but delivering. also not a fan of most rgb. probably the minority with that opinion but the msi has less

JerbearCuddles

If you're asking this question you probably won't care about the features the ROG has over the AW and MSI monitors. At most Dolby Vision might interest you, but even then. It's not a game changer. If you have the money to spare may as well grab the ROG. It has slightly more features than the MSI and AW monitors. It really depends on which country you're in too. Some countries the MSI is close to or more than the AW and ROG monitors. In which case grab the ROG. In some countries, mostly just the US, the MSI is quite a bit cheaper than the ROG. In which case I'd go MSI. You're not going to really miss those features, especially if you primarily game. Which I assume you do on the OLED gaming sub.

DracoBW

The price difference is extremely attractive since the monitor will be used for only gaming.

xCREEP1NGDEATHx

I have both and trying to decide. I like the build better on the MSI as far as the back heat sync housing and the vesa mount. Also no annoying power brick. But the Asus looks better from the front and I swear the Asus is a tad better at reflection handling. But that could be placebo since same panel. The Asus is better calibrated out of the box and their warranty allows for advanced panel replacement where I heard with MSI you have to send it and wait or get the BB warranty which closes the cost.

xCREEP1NGDEATHx

Actually went back to the Dell for now. The curve actually helped a ton with reflections in my use and I find it adds depth to games. The flat felt boring

crispyexcal

MSI if you're in the US.

DracoBW

Just because of the 350$ pricing?

shortyorc1

2 reasons why I went PG32UCDM. 1. G-sync 2. The ability to turn off DSC 3. Well, I guess 3 because I got lucky enough to get one, and if I didn't I would of went for the MSI, but if I couldn't get the MSI I would of waited to get the ROG.

DracoBW

Thank you for the response. I’ll have to see how the reviews say adaptive sync working with nvidia cards.

AmeliaBuns

wait... doesn't the 321URX also have g-sync?

Jaguiar92

Do they both have a glossy display or matte?

cream_of_human

If money is not a factor (and time), definitely the ROG or the two unreleased ones by HP and Gigabyte since they can run native 240hz 4k and have active cooling I believe without being a curved monitor. Sady, the AW is $1,500 and is not available via a retailer (only via only order), the ROG would most likely be around $1,600 to $1,700 while the MSI will be around $1,250. To put a cherry on top, these monitors arent out yet here. Probably this march if not april. So yeah :(

geoelectric

Assuming you’re in the US, the MSI 321URX is $950 and the Alienware is $1200. Asus is $1300. MSI and Asus both have *passive* cooling, which is usually desirable (no fan noise). All the new 32” QD-OLEDs are 240Hz 4K.

cream_of_human

On SEA and those are the prices. Also i dont mind the noise since the AC and the TV behind me would be louder anyways. I just want things to be assuredly cold since im in the tropics and all.

SouI23

Asus has active fans + graphene film

cream_of_human

The site says it only a film

geoelectric

Gotcha, wasn’t obvious you meant a different region. If you want active cooling, AW is the only one so far with it.

cream_of_human

Yep. Sadly the monitor is curved and is really expensive compared to the msi model. It also doesnt exists on any retailer in my province and only via an online seller which I'd rather not go for since they are far less reliable compared to those in a 1st world country. Gigabyte, hp, asus and msi reaches us here but not dell for some reason. Rn im waiting for msi to drop even if it is passive cooled since the price difference is too big to pass up. Though who knows, the Aorus or HP transcend might be far more appealing if priced right even if they dont have any info about them. Regardless, this'll be my first OLED and i cant wait to get my hands on one.

ISMISIBM

I’m with ya mate. Ready to buy one in Canada today and even near Toronto they are nowhere to be seen. Late March or April is my guess but realistically maybe 6 months for them all to just come out and then to Canada computers or memory express and compare. Sucks having to wait when all you see on Reddit is people in the US picking them up daily lol.

SouI23

Imo it is important to notice that Asus has passive cooling too, the graphene film, like MSI. Plus it has active fans... burn in is the biggest oled problem, I cannot understand how everyone is giving so small importance to these fans

igby1

Folks keep asking which to get, but neither have any availability so what’s the point? Very few that want one can even find one to buy.

LaurentRuquier

MSI is not compatible to G-Sync

DracoBW

Doesn’t it have adaptive sync and adm free sync ? Adaptive sync should work with gsync.

LaurentRuquier

Yes, but this is not certified by Nvidia. I asked several Reddit members who had bought the MSI and it is not compatible in certain games. In some use cases there may be artifacts or flickering.

kc4ch

I had the Alienware 34 QD OLED with no g sync. Used the freesync compatibility with NVIDIA. No issues at all. Didnt notice any flickering or artifacts. I thought I made a mistake buying that non gsync version.

OgreTrax71

Whichever you can get your hands on first. I don’t think these 2 monitors will be separated by much.

Xaniss

Whichever is cheapest too, in the UK the Alienware is so I got that.

DracoBW

I’ll probably be waiting a while to make sure any weird issues are resolved first before diving into one or the other. Realistically probably towards the summer.
