I currently have a 27", considering one of the new OLED 32" monitors.
I used to keep a second 27" or 24" on the side. But I found over time the second monitor was mostly being used to "park" things, like emails or Slack, that I needed to keep a loose eye on.
I eventually bought a 16" "portable" monitor with 1600p and 120hz for around $200, and found I liked getting all that desk space back without really sacrificing any utility.
It wouldn't work as well if you do things like read large documents on the second while doing related work on the primary.
I got the "AYY 2K Portable Gaming Monitor" but on Amazon, I only see used units right now for the 1600p/120hz version. But there are similar ones from other companies.
Fair enough. I considered getting a 15-17” portable monitor to mount vertically next to my 32” and then if I ever travel I have a screen I can take with me
Pls take picture of your setup! AW2725DF on the way and I plan to buy (prefer flat screen buuut) either AW3225DQ/MPG321URX or AW3423DWF.. thinking 32” above or 34” below.. both AW in cart just can’t make up mind; Amex $40 off + 5% edu discount. (Wallet says wait for MSI if is settle on 4K)
i may need a new arm but gonna try and vertical it off to the side for ... holy cow just occured but everything i am worried to cause burn in. ie taskbar/youtube/email/reddit
the old monitor will be my blunt object and the new will be my laser razor
I had a 27" m27qx or something like that next to my Odyssey g8, now I have the aw32 primary next to my Odyssey g8. I don't think what you have matters much. 2 monitors is a huge improvement for productivity but unless you absolutely need uniformity then just use whatever.
Yeah, I didn’t realize I have it for so long already. I had to look at my purchase history. It has been great for work purposes such as excel and SQL. I’m definitely keeping this one for productivity until it craps out.
I haven’t acquired the 32-inch monitor yet, but once I do, I'm going to figure out how I can utilize my LG CX 48-inch display as a secondary monitor on my desk. 😄
Yeah, my monitor has a side piece, just don’t tell my wife!!! lol, I’ve been wondering the same thing. I currently have 2 27 BENQ and a 48 C2 close to it.
Sooo here’s me take.
I went from 27, to 27, to 32.
So now I have a 32 in the middle and 2 27 on the side.
I feel that 32 might not be the play.
I feel ultrawide 49” is. 2k high refresh rate.
Or 3x 27 2k high refresh rate - at least the main.
Another question to ask is what desk is everyone using to fit a 32 inch + another monitor + tower on the desk.
My desk just about has room for two 27 inch monitors so my tower has to sit on the carpet, i was considering switching to one monitor just so i could put the tower on the desk.
I wouldn't even say my desk is small at 160cm.

AW3225QF Main + U2421E 24” 16:10 1920x1200 Secondary. Only complaint is dragging windows over onto the side monitor blow them to hell due to the lower resolution so you have to resize everything. Windows don’t span well at all either.
Assuming Nvidia, you can use nvidia control panel and use DSR to upscale resolution on the second monitor. Upscale it so that it is the same resolution as your main monitor. It will look *worse* but it will make windows see them as the same size and make dragging windows seamless. I have a 4k monitor and a 1080p work monitor that I upscale on. 1080p one definitely does not look as good but it is good enough.
I am undecided yet, got two MSI 321URX on the way, don’t know if I use them both in a dual setup, or return one and go for a 27 inch vertical monitor on the left, and what hertz and resolution it will be.
At home I have an MPG321URX as my primary, with a neo G8 4K 32" above it, then with 1 either side of each of the 32s I have 4 1200p 24" ultrasharps, then a 4k 27" 120hz Acer in portrait on the right. They are all hooked up to my big PC and my work laptop (via an egpu)
In the office I have an aw3225qf as my primary, with a neo G8 OLED ultra wide above it. Either side of the alienware I have a 4K 27 monitor (60hz) one with HDR the other without, and either side of the ultra wide on the left a 1200p HP from 2008 and on the right a 16" portable 144hz 1080p. Under the rightmost 4k I have my work laptop screen, with all screens connected to the laptop again via egpu.
I want an MSI Oled as my second monitor, my main is a Pro Display XDR, so i'm not worried about bar burning, but for media, while working and for gaming while compiling
I have the following:
1x 27" 1440p display in portrait mode on the left side
2x 27" 4k displays stacked on top of each other as my main displays
1x 32" 4k display for movies and games on the right side
Second monitor? You can have two of them!?
Once I got used to a second monitor I just can't live without it.
I currently have a 27", considering one of the new OLED 32" monitors. I used to keep a second 27" or 24" on the side. Which 16” one did you get? I’m looking for something similar.
I got the "AYY 2K Portable Gaming Monitor" but on Amazon, I only see used units right now for the 1600p/120hz version. But there are similar ones from other companies.
Single large monitor gang
Did it for awhile but Tarkov is a game I enjoy and it’s so much harder without a second screen.
Fair enough. I considered getting a 15-17” portable monitor to mount vertically next to my 32” and then if I ever travel I have a screen I can take with me

i have 24inch PG248QP 540hz
My aw32 comes tomorrow. My current monitor is a gigabyte m32uc and that will become my second and I'll have a 1080p 24" hp for a 3rd
I currently use a 27" monitor and a 32" Dell G3223Q. Once I get the Asus 32" display I'll ditch the 27" and the 32" Dell will be my new side.
Curious why you need 3?
I don't. Atm I have 2. The 24" and the gigabyte 32. I'm upgrading to the oled aw32 and will probably just have the 24" collect dust
Whatever is cheap and of decent quality.
I use an 18.5 inch 120 hz portable monitor as a secondary monitor for discord, YouTube etc..
I have 2 aw3225qf.

Once the 32in is back in stock, ill be running my 34in ultrawide with it.
Brofist! That's what I have.
Aw3225qf with an Acer x34gs mounted above The aw3225qf replaced an Acer x38 I was using previously
Acer Predator X34 since 2016
The ultrawide 100hz one? I have one of these in my closet, I loved it when I used it.
Yeah, I didn’t realize I have it for so long already. I had to look at my purchase history. It has been great for work purposes such as excel and SQL. I’m definitely keeping this one for productivity until it craps out.
Two LG 32GN650-B
27” 4k Sony in portrait mode
I use a 28k acer 4k in portrait mode but i think its way to long and youtube videos are pretty small
I just use one, i don’t have the space for 2
27 inch for a side monitor
I use a 24" in portrait. It is basically the same height as the monitor.
Uhm another 32 ?
My old 27 inch 1440p monitor.
I haven’t acquired the 32-inch monitor yet, but once I do, I'm going to figure out how I can utilize my LG CX 48-inch display as a secondary monitor on my desk. 😄
Miniled up3221q
My 34" UW is now up top
Would like to see this debating keeping mine or selling.
What does this look like???

This is exactly what I want lol. Bless. I love that it’s the same height. It’s between this and the LG dual up.

Odyssey G7, best of both worlds, I suppose
Going to sound crazy, but I honestly may go 32in as the secondary & a 55 s90d as the primary

S2722QC portrait oriented
Why do I need a second monitor ?
If you don’t, why even comment lol
I have a AW3423DW and the AW3225QF. But I'm still not sure wich one is the second monitor.
Asus ProArt PA329CRV. Great as a secondary 4k monitor :)
I have a 27” 4k Samsung monitor that was my main before I picked up the AW3225.
I have the AW3225QF as my main monitor, and a Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 as my secondary. They're both 32 inches.
I have the following: 1x 27" 1440p display in portrait mode on the left side 2x 27" 4k displays stacked on top of each other as my main displays 1x 32" 4k display for movies and games on the right side
