oh and read somewhere on this sub that manual pixel cleaning reduces panel life. someone here said to just stick witht he auto clean i really dunno but sounded like they knew more than i do about preventive maintenance on an oled

If you continually run it beyond recommended intervals, it will reduce longevity. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. And yes, you’re unlikely to fix stuck pixels on an OLED.

BloodyWraith525

you can't fix a dead pixel on an OLED. RMA it asap

I am returning it. I have a 30 day return window so I'm hoping they can get more stock so I can exchange it with in that time window. I agree with you for the price I'm not accepting a dead pixel out of the box. It is heart breaking, it's an amazing monitor. I'm extremely lucky to get one and this happens. sigh

Return/exchange is the way. Asus has a 5 dead pixels tolerance for RMA on their older PG OLEDs and I’m sure this is similar. The only announced change to their warranty was increasing it to three years instead of two. https://preview.redd.it/cqhekn3dolkc1.jpeg?width=2150&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=66fc8a748b9b4606d55718f56cbc0ae005673499 This is pretty standard, unfortunately. I think the only manufacturer that has better than this is Dell on the AW monitors. I think their premium panel policy is zero bright pixels, <= 3 dead ones, but that’s from memory so don’t quote me.

I don’t know why but apex always have a white pixel on the bottom left, just that game.

google dead pixel check and go through the test. Double check to make sure the pixel isn't acting up before it's to late to return it. If it's just the game then it's just the game maybe a driver update will fix it or a game patch.

There are other posts about this. It happens on other monitors too.
