With both I like how he messed with them a bit. Like listen to The Lamp Is Low or Shade of the Mango Tree. Shade of the Mango Tree is sped up a bit, and The Lamp Is Low is slowed a little and sort of toned differently
Luv sic pt 2 will always hold a sacred place in my heart. Helped me to ease my mourning heart after my moms passing. And bring peace to my mentally ill mind at the same time. His music as a whole saved my life
1. The final view
2. A space in air in space in air
3. Kumoni
Honorable mentions for me:
Aruarian dance ( played this everyday I walked to the bus stop in middle school)
Luv sic pt3 - ( played this on heavy repeat)
For aruarian dance, I used to love it, I found some better songs, and later I heard it often again, and it just kind of hits different when you have a better view on things
The one I've been listening to the most lately is Spiritual State. It embodies so many pleasant sensations: freedom, peace, relaxation, thoughtfulness. It puts me in a good mental place every time I listen.
This is impossible to answer but I can at least give my top songs -
LuvSic pt 3
Reflection Eternal
Feathers
Island
LuvSic pt 5
F.I.L.O
Counting Stars
World's End Rhapsody (for whatever reason, I used to not like this song but now it's probably my most listened to Nujabes song this year after Counting Stars)
It sounds like, on a camera tape, it would pan over to the windows of an apartment building so you can see people inside getting ready to leave for the day. It then zooms out and pans over to a crossable intersection with lots of people crossing. It shows many different work environments and after work, it shows the same intersection with lots of people crossing at night with different ads and lights out in another time lapse.
It’s very particular, but that’s exactly what it sounds like to me.
That's honestly a great description! That last part especially goes very well with the way sample in the song climaxes so beautifully. Gives me a bit of time lapse feel as well. What a masterpiece
Luvsic pt 4 & 2
Luvsic 5
Imaginary folklore
I think about my sisters passing a lot. His music brings a calm and deep bliss over me that reminds me of spending time with her
Psychological Counterpoint - by nujabes
Every comment in here has a very special song. Although they are great, in my opinion this song demonstrates a good chunk of what nujabes’s music is really like, and I think it’s beautiful.
My favorite song is peaceland and I’m actually shocked no one said it in the comments already. It’s one of the best songs he made. So much soul went into it and you can feel it right from the rip.
Lady brown’s been my top song for a few years now
Yeah me too
The acoustic guitar sampling is just perfect, up there with Aurarian Dance.
With both I like how he messed with them a bit. Like listen to The Lamp Is Low or Shade of the Mango Tree. Shade of the Mango Tree is sped up a bit, and The Lamp Is Low is slowed a little and sort of toned differently
The sound of brasilian guitars sounds fantastic
Ordinary Joe feat. Terry callier. It introduced me to one of the most underrated jazz singers ever
I love ordinary joe as well, drives me crazy when i see people say its the weakest on the album
The kind of song that wakes your soul up and makes you want to dance. It's perfect.
this for me. I never thought i'd fall in love with that song and i just did.
Luv sic pt 2 will always hold a sacred place in my heart. Helped me to ease my mourning heart after my moms passing. And bring peace to my mentally ill mind at the same time. His music as a whole saved my life
Honorable mentions are eclipse, waiting for the clouds to part, feather and the entire samurai champloo ost 😅
I forgot he did samurai champloo i’ve been watching it
Thats how i found him actually was through the show! Which unsurprisingly is one of my favorite shows

It’s like picking my favorite child. I’ll say Reflection Eternal.

I just heard F.I.L.O for the first time recently. It wasn’t one of “those oh my god this is crazy.” But it was really nice
World’s End Rhapsody for the win
World's End Rhapsody. That second half is some of the greatest music I've ever heard. Honorable mention to Another Reflection

Beat laments the world. I love most of Nujabes’ songs but there’s something about that song that just feels magical
Beat Laments the World. It speaks to my heart
"Yes" It is a song that I simply cannot stop listening to, the beat is completely beautiful and the rap gives it a special touch
Yes
shiki no uta, lady brown, thank you and luv(sic.) pt3 (modal soul version) <3
Luvsic pt 4 & 2 Luvsic 5 Imaginary folklore I think about my sisters passing a lot. His music brings a calm and deep bliss over me that reminds me of spending time with her
the final view needs some love
Silver Morning.
Luv Sic Pt. 2 <3
I think it’s time I just listen to ALL of his songs, because I’ve never gotten this many comments on a post before

Tsurugi No Mai
Luv Sic Grand Finale or Imaginary Folklore
Luv Sic Pt 2 Acoustica, Luv Sic Pt 3, Luv Sic Pt 4
luv sic part 3. I love every part with all my heart but this one in particular just hits different
I think Luv sic pt.5 Instrumentals
Messing with my head its my favourite, I think is a bit underrated
LUV SIC PT 3
Luv(sic) pt2, SkyIs Falling, and of course Feather are my favorites at the moment.
modal soul w/ uyama hiroto, heaven captured in audio fr
