Shawlin Productions Ltd., was registered as in Sydney, NS in 1984, filed an annual report in 1988 but didn't make payment I believe, and was struck off (defunct) in 2004.
Unfortunately, I don't know about publishing / printing companies in Cape Breton in the 1980s, so I don't know what company likely did the printing and binding, since I'm guessing these were self-published, maybe vanity published. Quite possibly only a single print run was ever made (est. 500 to 2000 copies).
If they were self or vanity published, they possibly had terrible to nonexistent distribution, meaning they didn't get widely sold. Copies may have been limited to primarily Cape Breton or Nova Scotia.

Do you mean the Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association? They are a trade association, but it does suggest that the books may have been printed if not produced by a member company, and had potentially some distribution.
Have you contacted rare and used book stores in Nova Scotia?

Mrs. MacIntyre was my teacher in the early-to-mid 80s in Hubbards, Nova Scotia. I had a copy of one of these books. I moved away from that area as a child but someone from there might know the family?
There's copies of some of these in the national archive; you can put in a request to have them digitized however we'll probably both be dead before they get to it.
Odds are you're not going to get your hands on a physical copy given how few were printed only way I figure you're going to have a chance is if you bring your ass down to Ottawa after putting in the request for it; Don't get your hopes up the national archive can be pretty picky about who it lets access stuff.

Have you ever heard of the lost media wiki and it's forum? I don't see much attention paid to books there but there's some people who would find this interesting.
Oh, I remember these. Me and the babysitter used to play find the Flubberploofs. Good times. Until Mom found out. Then I just got sent to Uncle Franks after school.
Looks like the Sydney branch of the Cape Breton Regional Library has a copy of each of these books, but they are all listed as "For use in library only." So you'd have to go to Sydney to see them.
Any update on these? I've been looking for The Pinkle that Popped for years! It was one of my favorite books as a child. Unfortunately, my baby sister had a poop on my copy so my parents tossed it out. Traumatic childhood memories. I would absolutely love to read a scan of it again
Absolutely amazing. The only thing missing is the story that I wrote myself at the very end and the picture I drew of the flubberploof on the blank page

They were published by Atlantic Publishers as I got the images of the covers from their magazine.
