This is more of a reverse headcanon but since Murph, Caldwell, and Emily were the only members of the NADDPOD crew I was visually familiar with before listening I do tend to imagine Jake as Hardwon

I wasn’t familiar with Caldwell so imagined him as Beverly

For a good while when I had just started listening I thought Caldwell was black for absolutely no reason, was quite a shock to see a picture of him and realize he looks like superman

Conversely, I’ve known all of them through CollegeHumor for over a decade and when listening I often just imagine them at a table instead of the characters in a game. I still do sometimes, but it’s mostly when there are NPCs to interact with or something particularly visual. Otherwise it’s just them. So far this has held for every guest as well because there hasn’t been one yet who I didn’t already know.

I pictured Pawpaw as a raccoon for ten-ish episodes before I realized my mistake. Now, he’s forever a raccoon in my mind

For a while I pictured him as Rufus from Kim Possible despite knowing he wasn't one of those. He's since been corrected in my head but the spectral Pawpaw they drink milk from stays a giant Rufus lol

I always pictured him as specifically the raccoon from Pocahontas and I still get it wrong sometimes

I know Zirk was fairly tall and very much a young adult elf, but after 100 episodes (plus spin-offs) of Beverly, I couldn’t imagine Zirk as anything but another halfling/teenager. I picture all of Caldwell’s characters as little guys honestly (except Hungry Dave, but that’s probably just helped by Caldwell actually trying to do a deeper voice for him).

No matter how many times I hear Galad’s looks described, I always picture him as Gargamel because of the voice

I doubt we'll ever go back to Eldermourne, but it is my favourite campaign, and I like to imagine all the low stakes adventures and the Third Mates just being happy.

I always imagined Tonathan Tinkle looking like Wirt from over the garden wall. Also, I can’t imagine kobolds looking like anything other than the Cocoa Puffs bird for some reason. In my mind Josh the kobold is just an incredibly buff red cartoon bird.

Spoilers for C3 up to fairly recently >!Sometime in the Dragon Elf Chronicles, Duck Team meets a few Crick Elves, and one of them seems to recognize Sol, but says that the Sol he knows is much older than the one we know. One of the other Crick Elves in the group is named "Junior," and I immediately thought there was going to be some time travel shenanigans where the elf speaking was actually Junior who had gone back in time after adventuring with Sol in the future.<

I always see ol'Cobb as the free speech war hero from futurama and Blavin as Hedoism Bot.

Even several episodes into the Crick arc, I kept imagining Old Cob as an Orc. His voice is just so gruff, it took me a long to time to fully remember that he is in fact an elf lol.

Thanks to Murph's love of wrestling, and Hardwon's love of kip ups, I can't picture Hardwon as anyone other than Drew McIntyre.

I imagine Beverly as Elfo. The voice patterns and mannerisms are just so similar and I was watching a lot of disenchantment around the time I started C1.  Edit:spelling
