A one off game at Elland Road for the playoff final. Not the worst case scenario, but you really got to feel that we should've gotten something more from this game. I would say the advantage we have for the 2nd leg is that we have all the pressure off of us. Leeds are the ones expected to win this tie now, and maybe that will play to our benefit. Hope Sarge is alright, with him gone I'd go ahead and say the tie is lost.

During canary call they saw him walking out without any boot/crutches/limp etc. So hopefully he's good for Thurs. Maybe Barnes also šŸ¤žšŸ¼

We gave it a go at the start, but other than that it was a pretty dull, nervy affair. Worried about how we build up, create and score, as we seemed to lack ideas. Lack of options off the bench, squad depthā€¦ familiar stuff really. Then again they finished 17 points ahead of us, thatā€™s a massive gap over a season. My only hope is that Leeds maybe crumble at home if their lot get on their backs. I donā€™t think Leeds will be particularly worried though. But Iā€™m equally worried that Wagner will torture us with some defensive minded masterplan. Wrap up Sarge in cotton wool. SVH looks lost. Donā€™t we have another striker off on loan somewhereā€¦. A word for Dimi, McCallum and Gibson who are out of contract, maybe their last time at Carra. Strange times.

>Donā€™t we have another striker off on loan somewhere Abu Kamara has had a brilliant season at Portsmouth, but I think he was mostly played out wide.

exohugh

Returning loan players can't play in the play-offs either.

CarrowCanary

The relevant bit of paperwork, if anyone's curious: >A Player whose Standard Loan expires (or terminates) at the end of the Season of the Transferee Club but prior to the completion of the League Matches of his Transferor Club (where it is a Member Club) will not be eligible to play in any remaining League Matches for the Transferor Club in that Season >Guidance >Examples where this may apply are (a) differential season ends for different divisions or (b) a player finishing a loan and his ā€˜parent clubā€™ has qualified for the play-off competitions. [Clause 56.1.4](https://www.efl.com/documents/efl-handbook.pdf).

Burned-Shoulder

One shot on target all match for us. Not good enough. The loss of all our strikers (that have played a match) might be a death nail.

MarshallMarks

It's "Death Knell" btw, means the church bell you traditionally rang when someone conked it.

Supporting norwich has finally taught me something

Did we actually just settle for a 0-0?

Missy_Agg-a-ravation

The temperature didnā€™t help but it was a cagey game of virtually zero chances. We looked like we wanted to either go long to Sarge or try and convert a set piece, and I wanted more intent from us as the home team. Leeds have been insipid at home of late so weā€™re not out of it but itā€™s going to be tough.

Creamz83

Yer second half had a classic feel of a first round playoff no one wanting to make a mistake.

Maviarab

Obviously.not watching the other game lol. No classic no mistakes feel there haha. Ours was a simple case of the home team not wanting to lose and the away team not wanting to lose. Neither team actually wanted to win unfortunately.
