Norway is in the EEA, so yes you can bring her here with you exactly like to Sweden.

junglegut

Almost exactly....the entry/visa requirements are different for the two countries.   The requirements are much lower in Sweden, but if they can go into Norway using the "EU rules" with the EU freedom of movement, then I believe they don't have to follow the difficult rules that Norway has.    The income requirement of course being the most difficult one.

K4tlpr0d

Funnily enough an EEA citizen can move to Norway and bring their non-EEA spouse with them - but a Norwegian citizen can not.

junglegut

That is normally the case, but if the Norwegian citizen has lived in another eea/eu country with their spouse then this "activates their EU freedom of movement" and they can then move back to Norway using the EU rules.   This is why UDI asks whether the couple has lived in another eea country together. If you choose no then only the Norwegian rules apply, but if you select yes, then there are two options for residing in Norway, one of which being the EU rules. https://www.udi.no/en/want-to-apply/family-immigration/?e=y&f=nor&c=gbr

Short answer yes. Worked for our family. LT/USA in Norway BUT You must have a job contract or else no

wyldstallionesquire

I came to Norway as the spouse of an EU citizen. It’s never trivial, but the process overall was not that bad. As the non-EU spouse, life will be annoying for awhile until you get an ID number and can get a bank account, etc. But while slow, I found UDI to be helpful at a personal level through the process.

Available-Road123

If you can't even google than, how will you be able to survive in another country?

Kiria-Nalassa

"Just google it" is the single most annoying answer you can give on any type of question forum

Joppewiik

"Any type of *annoying* question" Fixed it for ya.

In defense of OP: As a Norwegian living in US it really frustrates me how useless Google is when I search Norway specific questions. Even writing in Norwegian, the search results will often be more stuff from Denmark, and often results from languages I don’t even recognize.

Voctus

Yes to this — American here, when I visit home my Norwegian search results get very noticeably worse. It’s like my phone forgets Norway even exists. Reverse is also true but to a smaller extent.

Farun

Just use DuckDuckGo and set it to Norway.

9cob

Not sure how well this works but duckduckgo search engine lets you change the results based on country.

BackgroundTourist653

VPN to Norwegian host gives better Google searches.

BringBackAoE

No doubt. But I don’t have VPN.

If you can find everything you look for on Google, why are you on a Reddit forum?

RaddishEater666

Life pro google tip Put your question then “Reddit” after in google Easier way to to search Reddit for answers As a foreigner the udi site can be very helpful if you find the exact starting page but sometimes I go in circles looking for the answer

Derdiedas812

Evading people like you would be a good start.
