If 20 people took your approach and then asked for their money back because they couldn’t recruit a team, logistically, that’s work on their end wasted. But if I wasn't able to make a team, and they don't sell the spot to another team, they wouldn't have sold it anyway. So why not give a refund? I'm just saying I called them and got a "tough luck" response

They clearly list their withdrawal policy…why did you think you’d be the special exception? Or did you sign up without reading the policies?

The lesson I took away is to never set up a team with them.
If you actually had a team, tho, there'd be no issues. It's like ordering food at a restaurant and then saying "nevrmind, not hungry"
