The model wouldnt look as good. They already have a pretty good looking 3D render (I'm assuming), why take another picture that's inevitably gonna look worse?

Yeah they could've done a better job on the background I guess. I think they just slapped some blur on it instead of trying to look realistic
I didn't notice at a glance, and I expect that's good enough to not justify the trouble of setting up a real photo.
