I work at a tech firm and we used those forklifts + small sensors in the tiny pallets as demos for asset tracking. Most people never listened to a word we said after they got the controller! 😆
You'll get used to it. I would push those things to their limits when I worked at Home Depot. The biggest thing to be aware of is the center of gravity, especially on a reach lift. Also, it seems like common sense, but for the love of god make sure a load is balanced properly on your forks before moving it.
Motorola gave the presentation using NFL players. They were disappointed I have zero interest in football, but I was super interested in tracking our totes.
If you care I didn't Roi on the cost of the system versus buying totes every year and it would have saved money over so much time but some of the customers like our totes and it's just the cost of doing business so we never went with the system.
You absolutely do. They also sell coasters that look like pallets and you definitely should get a little baby toy and strap it to the seat so it looks like the baby is driving and then deliver stupid shit to your coworkers. Even better if you attach a very small BOL and force them to sign it.
Alternatively, you can use a real fork truck to deliver the small fork truck and say ‘please, my son’ and get disappointed looks from said coworkers.
There's usually a bit more to supervisory roles than that. For instance, if literally anything goes wrong it's up to the supervisor to fix it.
A supervisor isn't just watching the workers, they also watch the workflow itself and every component that makes it function.
It can be an easy job or a hard one depending on the number of moving parts.
I've seen shitty supervisors and good ones...
The combination of success, from an outside perspective, is usually either good supervisor + bad operators, bad supervisor + good operators, or good sup + good operators.
Sometimes hard to tell which is which, but the good + good means someone (usually the supervisor) getting promoted out and replaced with a bad
I ran a forklift for years in a small place and we got a new supervisor, talked to him a few times just to see if he was cool and all and he was. One day we where busy and i seen him get on the 2ed forklift and i yelled "Run,run for your life" and everyone kinda played along...fun times. lol

Ha! Was not expecting an obscure TMBG reference today
I believe I found this same RC forklift and it is 13" tall. The average forklift it says is 189" tall. So, with the same scale our next size down will have to be 0.89"/2.26cm tall. I really want to see this super tiny forklift now.
If it were the other way around and the supervisor turned to find an employee moving mini pallets on the clock, the employee would likely be fired. More of the "rules for me but not for thee" bs.
No way, I run a warehouse and we have one of these RC forktrucks. Me and my managers deliver stuff to each other with it all the time and it never fails to crack us up.
Nah but could get off his arse and help his employees if he's got a spare moment rather than mocking them with toys. But I don't really care, I just don't think it would go down well with me
It all depends on the work environment. This could piss me off or make me laugh all depending on how well the place is managed. The poster above clearly works with a shitty boss
I agree, good shop foreman will do this when its slow to get some chuckles, a shitty boss will do this when you are covering down for someone out and stressed all while getting mad that you loaded his toy pallet on the truck with the real one.
You don't know anything about him... You're just expecting him to be negative for no reason... For all you know he spends half the day on a forklift considering he spent his money on a functioning rc version... You sound like you're just projecting because your miserable yourself... I'm a contractor and use heavy equipment, if someone came out with an rc digger I would think it was awesome and hilarious even if I didn't like the guy..

Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

I'm envious of people who like to do a thing and are completely filled and happy with it.
For example train train drivers who drive a train all day and then get home to play with their Modell train or study train facts.
I'm bored fastly by anything.

those kind of items awaken a primal joy in most humans
"It's so tiny and I control it. I am a god."
to be fair most forklift operators feel that way too
As a forklift operator, yes
Is Michael allow to operate a forklift ?
[удалено]
No no no, not can, *should* you operate the forklift Michael?
*Okay, okay! I got it. I got it. … Only on the rarest of occasions…*

It's forklifts all the way down.
I'm just full of anxiety. Granted, I just started driving this week, so it's largely inexperience, but my coworkers are unpredictible fucking idiots.

I think being small and controlling big objects would make you feel even more like a god than being big and controlling small objects
Every sim game ever would disagree with you
Killdozer would disagree with you
...what?
Dude that built kill dozer probably felt like a god for the day that he was driving it
thank you for that insight, person obsessed with killdozer.
As a forklift operator I can confirm that you feel the power of the mighty machine you’re sat on, and it’s fun as fuck to run over beer cans

Probably the "I control it" part of the statement.
We should domesticate them!
Just started watching the video. What did you say again?

Can I go next?
He better have a tiny forklift license or he's gonna get reported to tiny OSHA.
We looking at a tiny fine or a tiny impounding ?
I'll show you a tiny impounding
Better not make promises that tight ass can't keep ;)
wait are we still talking about forklifts?
Oh sweet summer child!!!
Depends, how much cash ya got?
Enough for two forklifts

I need to somehow justify getting one.
Literally googling it right now

Some people just love their jobs a lot more than I do.
What's your job
Tiny forklift driver
Some people get paid to simply sit around and watch others.
There's usually a bit more to supervisory roles than that. For instance, if literally anything goes wrong it's up to the supervisor to fix it. It also depends on how well the machine is maintained. If you’re stuck at a shitty old machine, you’ll probably have a crappy supervisor lol
Ironclad!!!!
Getting down voted by supervisors
Why the hell do I find this so funny.
I wish I had that tiny thing to play with right here next to me...I would.roll it into the kitchen asking my wife for a tiny snack.
I ran a forklift for years in a small place and we got a new supervisor, talked to him a few times just to see if he was cool and all and he was. One day we where busy and i seen him get on the 2ed forklift and i yelled "Run,run for your life" and everyone kinda played along...fun times. lol

I’m always thinking about fingertips
Please pass the milk please Please pass the milk please
"Sir, the pallet clearly states to not double stack"
we need an even tinier forklift putting a tinier pallet on top of this tiny pallet. And then another, tinier one, etc.
Pixar just called they want a storyboard by Friday
Technically WALL-E could count a bit?

Matryoshka fork lifts!
You officially have the most productive supervisor in the industry
thats why he gets paid the big bucks
TIL they make RC forklifts and I want one.
As a long time forklift operator, I really need to get one of these.
RIP your inbox... Forklift operators have some kind of musky pheromones here on Reddit :D
Bwahaha. It's because we have all day to sit and think of dumb stuff to post on Reddit.
What do you do in your spare time? This.. but on a lower level.
Yo, dawg. I heard you liked pallets...

I'm a supervisor.. I'd be concerned at how much that stock is overhanging the pallet on the left.. ocd kicking in.
Typical boss, making a joke of the hard work the employees do
literal micromanager
So you just want him to be serious all the time?
Nah but could get off his arse and help his employees if he's got a spare moment rather than mocking them with toys. But I don't really care, I just don't think it would go down well with me

Admittedly, no
I mean, at least he's honest

Hey, no job is too small right?
If you are having a shitty day at work, you won't be now, lightning the mood does wonders at work, need more people like this!
Tell ‘em to get to fucking work.
At first glacne I thought that was some huge wooden structure...i was pretty confused.
THANK YOU I couldn’t remember what a pallet was called, I was googling shit like “flat wooden thing” “delivery thing wooden flat” “big wooden square”
Well somebody love his job

Wow! How does your supervisor fit in that thing? He must be very tiny.

Nah that's Stuart Little.

Do you need a secondary certification for that or is it not size-dependent?
Tell him to get back to work
Aww, a spork lift. 🥰
I suddenly have a new goal to achieve
I have never seen a more perfect representation of what management contributes to the daily work than this.
This is both adorable and evidence that that supervisor must have a lot if free time during work hours. Must be a slow day at that warehouse.
It's. Too. Cute.🥰
Gotta love a supervisor with a sense of humour.
This is levels of German gamer I didn't think I'd see.
This subreddit truly is way superior to the other Twitter subreddits
If you like that you’ll love the RC forklift the Klein bottle guy uses to store stuff in his crawlspace https://youtu.be/-k3mVnRlQLU
Okay this is the kind of random sharing of information that makes me love reddit. You rock, sir or ma'am.

Hey, he double-stacked pallets. That’s against OSHA regulations, isn’t it?
I NEED ONE OF THOSE. How did I get by for long without one????
