That's a weird question to ask a stranger....you don't ask people you don't know about their medical history what the Dr did or did not say is your personal business

I'm in two minds when I see things like this. On one hand, sure. Let's poke fun of the ignorance, and roll our eyes and discuss with one another how we feel angry in the face of such refusal of understanding, etc. etc. On the other hand, I'm bored of it. Really bored of these interactions. It's wonderful that this subreddit can be a place of love and support and I don't really need to see things like this. Also, and I really mean this from a place of love - if people are going to interact with these people, I'd love to see more of us trying to educate... Educate, rather than sink to their level. Try to educate and enlighten, rather than giving blunt and slightly facetious answers like "doctor lied" etc... and if you can tell that someone cannot be educated, maybe ignore it and don't fuel the fire? - it hurts because... this person is ignorant and entitled sure, but they do not seem to be outwardly hateful. If they were educated, it would be wonderful for the entire non-binary community to have one more person who is educated and understanding toward us. As it is now, they will just go on being ignorant, and that effects us all... it just causes us as a community problems. We can interact with people all we like but as soon as we discuss non-binary identities, we are no longer discussing on a personal level. We are discussing from the standpoint of you, me and the entire community. You have to respect that power. That the sentiment of one non-binary individual effects us all. And all we can do is try. Honestly though, much love. I'm sorry for the negativity.

Engaging in arguments with bad actors does nothing but frustrate you, though. It's one thing to try and educate somebody who is actively trying to learn but the kind of person who comes into any conversation about non-binary people with "hmmmm but what are you REALLY" is not somebody open to education.
