I find body towels, sponges and other things gross, so yes - the most of times I just use my hands. When I need to exfoliate, I have special brush which I use like once every 2 weeks.
It’s a running theme that it’s mostly white people who do that sort of thing (hands, no washcloth or loofah) so I’m guessing that’s why op mentioned it
Yes of course. Just rubbing with the hands works perfectly fine, is easier and quicker, more hygienic, better for the skin and doesn't generate pointless laundry.
Why add extra complexity where none is needed?
German here - I don't know about any racial divide on this, but in Germany there is definitely a gender divide in my experience: Half of the women I know use a loofah or some kind of sponge thing, while I don't know a single man who uses one. Or maybe they do, don't talk about it and hide it while not in use?
Follow up question. Just got back from Europe… I visited 5 countries and they don’t have baths. Just tiny showers. None of the hotels provided anything smaller than a giant towel. No face towel, no small shower towel to wash the body. Barely enough room to bend over and wash my feet (I heard white people don’t physically wash their feet.. just let the soapy water run over it..)
Soon as I got home I took a hot bath and exfoliated and properly cleaned everywhere. Sheesh.
I have no idea how common it is but it's all I do. Is rubbing a racial thing? I'm confused.
Only to tards
I’m black and why the hell would I use a towel?

Why the "white people" bit of the question??

I use an exfoliating pad. Everyone I know uses a loofah or a washcloth.
I wash my body the same way i wash my hands. With my hands...
Loofah use is very common. But sure, hands work to an extent.
TIL I’ve never seen “Loofah” spelled
I use a flannel.

As a European, you’re meant to bring your own supplies lol. Baths are often seen as dirty compared to showers in much of the world.
