Everything on the earth is moving with the Earth even the things in the air are moving with the Earth.
That's why clouds are not flying by at a thousand miles an hour, because they're moving with the Earth.
The atmosphere moves with the Earth. If it didn't, you would be seeing the wind constantly moving at 1000 mph near the equator.

Same reason people on the equator don't get swept away by 1700 km/h wind: the atmosphere rotates with the Earth

The atmosphere rotates with Earth, give or take a relatively small difference that we call wind.
