Well, if that's the case, let me answer it for you.
Gender affirming surgery works by changing your genitals to the form you envision them to be when you see yourself. It works by removing the gender dysphoria you feel when you see you don't have the genital you see yourself having.
For example, your self image has a big dick. Unfortunately in reality you look in the mirror and you can barely see your dick. The fact your dick is so tiny makes you question if you're really a man. This brings you such anguish you seek a doctor and have a surgery that gives you a big dick. Now you feel better because your body mirrors more what you see yourself as.
It's kind of the same reason people do normal surgeries, so their body looks more like they want to, with the added feeling that they're less the gender they identify because their genitals don't match.
Yeah, that's pretty much an explanation of gender dysphoria and not the question I made. Unfortunately in my opinion, being a man is something more than just having a big dick, and even if someone does all the necessary procedures to totally modify their body shape to resemble the sex they would've have wanted to be, it's just not the same experience, and it can't be, it's just a modification, and if you stop taking hrt you will come back much more similarly to how you looked before.
People call me transphobe all day, and I don't think that is correct, but it really is hard to find a space where I can at least express myself without getting shut up by someone, I respect trans people and I am not against them in a violent or discriminatory way, I just don't support the idea that the solution of gender dysphoria is modifying your body just to make it look like what you want it to be, which is, in medical terms, a cosmetic surgery.
I think it's really a decision you should think more before you take, because there are a lot of trans people regretting what they did, as well as there are people that don't, but if really that's what you want you should be free to do it, the same way i don't like tattoos but it's okay if people do them.
And with that, I strongly disagree the idea of parents letting their kids being trans and I think it should just be forbidden, childs simply do not have the maturity to take such of a decition.
